The looks, construction etc is good.But most imp.It is consistently showing a 2deg C higher temp than what is shown by Google weather. This error reduces its usefulness

Its very simple and useful temperature indicator. Indian made product. Quality of wood on which glass tube is fixed can be improved.Shows correct temperature .I stay in place near hill station. So temperature goes from night 13°c to afternoon 35°c . So when we check on weather apps it shows 19°c but feel more chill. So to check correct temperature i orderd this.And this is very good . Happy with purchase.In some reviews it is mentioned that the temperature remains steady without any changes. So want to give clarification on that.There is a hole on the wooden frame which gives due exposure to the bottom bulb.If that has been covered or hanged very closely touching to the wall correct temperature will not be shown or it will remain same.

Defective piece returned to amazon person but didn't get replacement

Had bought this item with lot of expectations but it proved to be unworthy. The temp is inaccurate most of time and gives wrong readings. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Better to avoid it.

Wood makes its life eternal

Basically I bought this as a part of showpiece + utility kinda thing, I also have a digital one, both show highly accurate temperature reading, I wasn't sure about the calibration of digital thermometer.
