Better than Yankee Candle
This is my favorite scent so far for the holiday season. I purchased two and when burnt together it filled my house with a wonderful smooth smell. The scent is exactly what you would think for a fall smell. I did trim the wick before each use and burnt them for over a month almost everyday. Village candles are so much better than Yankee candles.

Great smelling candle at a bargain price!
Very large candle with a nice, homey scent. Wish the scent were a little stronger so that it would fill the whole apartment as some do. However, I recently browsed a bunch of candles while looking for a gift and I realized that so many of them now are outrageously priced!!! For a much smaller candle, you can easily be charged twice or even three times the cost of this one. So, I’d say this candle is a great bargain for anyone on a budget and it’s nice enough to give as a gift even.

Cinnamon with a Dash of Apple
I added this candle to my fall candle collection because of the baked apple theme. (Baked apple fan here.) I can’t speak to how well the candles burn because I mainly use these large jar size candles passively (open but not lit) in lieu of room freshener. The predominant scent is cinnamon. I smell some apple but also a buttery-baked bread scent. Not bad but not exactly what I expected, either. (Apple isn’t quite as balanced with the cinnamon as I anticipated.) This limited edition Village Candle was a good value on sale so I’m keeping it.

Melting during shipping
Always a great brand. However, ordering in the summer as they sit in trucks if on their sides, wax can melt over the wick or get distorted.

Cheaper in Price, Cheaper in Quality
I bought a number of two candle brands -- Village Candle and Yankee Candle -- over the Christmas holidays, and here's my experience regarding this variety and all the other Village Candles I purchased:Cons:* Burns noticeably quicker, resulting in noticeably less value* Scent, when apparent (or exists at all), doesn't spread more than a couple feet from the candle at most* Jar is almost identical to Yankee Candle's, so it's easy to think you're buying the highest quality. You're not. (I admit to falling for this ruse more than once.)Pros:* Lower price is evidenced by a lighter wallet, stretching your budget further* Colors are similar to those offered by Yankee Candle, so if you like Yankee's candle colors, you'll like these* Just like Yankee Candles, Village Candles are excellent at their primary job: to simply be a candleI'm not saying I won't buy more Village Candles. At least I can count on them to do what all candles do, which is to shed light. And they look nice around the house when you face the label to the back (so guests won't know at first glance that these are not Yankee Candles). But I'll limit future purchases to already-cheaper Village Candles that go on sale to become cheaper still.
