The Battle

The Battle was a really nice book I recommend it to people who are in to magic, video games, and futuristic tech. I do recommend reading the Gauntlet before the battle because the books tie together a few times but it's not a must for you can understand the book without reading the first it will only give you deeper insightfulness it is an amazing remake of the city of Paheli connecting more to the kids of this generation.

This is the second book in a series with a Jumanji-like game. This time around the game has upgrades that make it decidedly more dangerous. There are new players and a few old friends from The Gaunlet. Fast-paced and full of challenges, the game tests the wits and budding friendship of the two classmates forced to play the game to save themselves and everyone they love. A fun read for young people and adults.

my family and i have fallen in love with vijay bhai, ahmad, winnie, madam nasirah...the whole gang. we read a chapter out loud each night, and don't want the story to end! i wish books like this were around when i was a kid: to save me from warped/limited colonial and orientalist imaginations. a worthy addition to any kid's library. five stars!
