KNIPEX Pipe Gripping Pliers-Replaceable Plastic Jaws

I really like the anti-slip button for adjusting the jaw. Ergonomically these are a winner and it feels comfortable in the hand to use. I also like the fact that you could change the rubber in the jaws. There is one negative concerning this tool and it’s the rubber in the jaws thats a little bit on the soft side and can be an issue with trying to tighten or loosen certain connectors. For this reason I had to buy another pair from a different company that has hard teflon between the jaws for certain applications, so now I have two connector pliers! Not a big deal because these these connector pliers are still my first choice. I highly recommend!

Do what they say and seem like they will last a while. Replaceable soft jaw insurers their longevity. Handles have a comfortable grip and the pliers themselves or constructed very well. Great tool to add to your bag.

These are well-made. They are easy to use. Great design. Definitely designed by people who did their homework. Fit in the hand perfectly. Worth the extra Few bucks.

Order these for 1 1/4 -1/2 drains and PVC plastic unions. They work great. Lots of locking adjustment on that jawsAnd the plastic inserts are replaceable.

Great pair of pliers, just like all their Knipex products. Besides being very happy with this purchase, just a few notes (the reason why this is not a 5 star rating). First, the padded jaws. Yes, the padded jaws are the whole point of these pliers, but they do slip more. I believe that a different, more grippy material would be better. Just like any Knipex pair of pliers, you can really cinch down with them (without marring your work), and I was thus able to complete several projects. Good job. Second, most of Knipex’s pliers have an anti-pinch feature that prevents injury if the pliers slip (the handles won’t come together all the way). Not these pliers. If you open them a few notches, the handles do come all the way together, and you will pinch your palm if you slip. I don’t know why this would be, especially at this price point. Still, an excellent product. Highly recommended.

Expensive, but worth it. Jaw pads are grippy, but don't wear out near as fast as any others. About 15 size choices instead of four, and they won't change sizes til you want them to. If you're in a tight spot, the jaw pads unscrew with a #1 Phillips, the steel jaw is sharply knurled. Just don't lose the screws! My last pair of cannon plug pliers...til I lose 'em.

Spend the extra money for these Deutsche Zangen (German pliers). They haven't let me down yet and Knipex makes great tools. This is perfect for removing large D38999 connectors! These have saved my hands in tight spaces more times than I can count. And the nice thing is: they're not disposable because you can replace the soft jaws.They also open further than your bargain soft jaws which makes the very large connectors even easier to get off.A must have for working with electrical connectors or pipe fittings which you don't want to mar up!

I am a Knipex man all the way. Love their pliers and own quite a few pair. But this pair is garbage. Literally every time I've used it, it slips. Every single time. The 10 dollar pair from japan does better than these. If i knew how to get my money back for them I would.

Knipex never disappoints. Used it in my aviation job and has been great purchase. Can get in to some tighter spots where some other high end expensive name brand can’t. Recommend it these soft grip pliers if you don’t want to damage any fittings.
