Just Plain Soy (Which is Good)
Plain soy milk, smooth texture..If you are expecting the flavor of Silk, etc. out of the box, you will not like this product. If you are expecting the flavor of tofu, with no sweeteners or additives, this delivers. You can replicate the taste and mouth feel of Silk/etc, if desired, by blending with tiny amounts of salt, xanthan gum, sweetener of choice, and a little vanilla.I just wish that this came in bulk.

great powder milk substitute
This is wonderful! I was looking for a dairy free milk powder, I kept running across recipes that called for milk powder. I wanted to make a hot cocoa mix and this mixes wonderfully to make a delicious drink. What I really love about this is its organic and non gmo. It's also gluten free and vegan. Its also made in USA which gives me a little more peace of mind about what actually is IN the bottle. My biggest concern when purchasing this was I saw a lot of negative reviews about the inability to mix with liquids. Which would have been a big deal considering that would be mostly what it would be used for. I can absolutely say I have not had a single issue getting this powder to turn into a liquid. If you are making straight "milk" with it, it will settle. But that happens with any natural dairy free "milk" you make. I often make nut and seed milks and the exact same settling happens. The only reason it happens is because there aren't any added stabilizers, coagulators or thickeners. You could certainly add those, or buy the premade "milks" containing those ingredients. But personally I find them questionable, at best. Side note, this would also happen to cow, goat, human or any mammalian milk if it were not homogenized. It just naturally wants to separate. The solution is to just give it a good shake before you use it. As far as mixing it in to a liquid, I have not had any issues there either. Maybe it's an art to mix powder to liquid, but my guess would be either the people that say it did not mix well have issues with any powder, such as traditional hot cocoa mix, or this is a new formula. The only ingredient is soy beans. So unless you have a soy allergy this will work for you.

Perfect for travel
After reading reviews I:Had an airtight ,wide mouthed glass container standing by so I could transfer the powder with a large-mouth funnel and never have to deal with the lid of the shipping container.Treated the powder gently. It is the consistency of fine cake flour. It will disperse and dust everything if you are not somewhat careful. If you are careful it is fine.Used my little whisk to mix the powder in water. I had no lumps, no, not one.The taste is unsweetened soy. It is not the same as Silk, just as powdered milk is not the same as the stuff pumped out of cows. But it will be WONDERFUL when travelling. I can take a bit to put on my oatmeal, in my tea.I am completely grateful to find this product. After years of using unsweetened soy I find that cow’s milk tastes awful and the other “milks” are like water that had something cooked in it and over-sweetened. It’s expensive but worth it!

Great product in horrible packaging
I bought this product before and it came in a cardboard cannister with a plastic lid. Easy to use. The re-order came in a plastic package with a "resealable" strip across the top. When I cut open the package, the powder flew out everywhere. It was a massive cleanup job. A lot of it was lost. I repackaged what was left in a glass container.I thought I was buying the same product, and the powder is the same, and is a good dairy-free option. But I was expecting a canister.

Chalky, doesn't mix well, but definitely pure!
I purchased this product, because it was free from added ingredients/allergens, other than soy obviously. The one star is for purity of the product. If I based my review solely on this issue, it would get five stars. It IS very pure.I wish I could say I love it; I don't. The packaging is exactly as shown on Amazon: a cardboard cylinder with metal top and bottom. The top had a plastic food safety wrap around it. The lid is very difficult to get off for anyone with limited dexterity and any accident prone individuals beware; one tiny slip and everything is covered in fine, white powder.I found this product chalky and it would not stay mixed. I tried it with hot then cold water, mixed with water alone and also with a tiny bit of honey. None of these methods worked. The very limited "directions" on the label helped about as much as a recipe without instructions. I could find very little online about the product other than Amazon reviews and nearly the same information from other vendors. Thus, there may be a better way to use this powdered milk. (Other reviews mention baking wih it. I will try that next.) If the disctributor reads this and you have more thorough directions on how to mix it so it stays fluid and doesn't separate, please post them.I have been vegan for many years and I drink unsweetened soy or almond milk regularly, one of the few products I eat that isn't a whole food; I buy it from the market. I am aware these store bought milks have added ingredients this product does not. However, it must be stated that if I hadn't had other, better tasting vegan milks before, this would put me off them.I would return it, but there was a big sticker on the safety wrap stating no returns. I have read numerous reviews that mention Better Than Milk. After trying this, if I ever try powdered vegan milk again. I will try Better Than Milk based on the reviews.

Not a great taste
Pro: It mixes fine in cold water. I put it in a jar and shook it up. It did somewhat separate after sitting in the fridge overnight but shook up fine. No clumps or other problems people have had when spooning the powder into hot coffee. (I didn't even try that)Pro: No sugar.Con: Even after refrigerating it, it had a lecithin taste I didn't like.
