I have recently taken an interest in using gua sha and wanted an amethyst as that is my birthstone. This thing is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Its also sturdy and arrived in tact.

The amethyst gua sha I received had many surface chips and imperfections. At first I thought it would be okay, since it looked like the chips appeared where the stone would naturally cleave and it could be hard to control chipping in places like that during manufacturing. But when I used it that night, the chips and imperfections scratched my face! I had to keep flipping the gua sha around to avoid spots where there was rough stone. It was not a pleasurable, relaxing experience to continuously scratch my face. After using it, I could tell that there were chips along the edges of the gua sha where it makes contact with the face that I had not seen when examining in the daylight.However, compared to another gua sha I had bought on Amazon for about $12, I can tell this is real stone. The other one I have is definitely glass and warms quickly when using it. This one has a heavier feel in the hand and stays cool throughout the facial massage.For this price, I expected much higher quality! Mount Lai prices are on the higher end for gua sha stones. The package and the box it came in are completely unblemished, so this is not damage caused by shipping but damage by careless manufacturing. I would advise against buying this gua sha and perhaps look elsewhere.

Got this as a little gift for myself! Was very excited when it arrived. It’s high quality amethyst and mine actually had some beautiful rainbow inclusions as well!

Really liked this one compared to the others I used (I used 1 other amethyst guasha and it broke within less than a week) this one has lasted for quite some time. Very smooth, No hard edges or flaws. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful gua sha tool. It is really relaxing to use after a long day. I wish there were more detailed instructions on different ways to use the tool, though.
