Compares well with other dehumidifiers
TLDR:- Similar price per litre of extracted water as larger dehumidifiers, but over a 10x longer period- Cheaper&QuieterAs my house is often humid, I accumulated a few dehumidifers over the years. This one is my first "mini-dehumidifier" using the Peltier effect, and I'm quite pleased with it.The use cases for this dehumidifier are different from the larger ones because:- it collects 10x less water per hour- it is 10x cheaper to run per hour (consumes 10x less power)- it is quieter (10x? unsure)So it's more of a background dehumidifer. It doesn't fix humidity problems instantly.I confirm 21-23W consumption, as specified. Here are some numbers, in case it helps anyone make a choice (usually taken around 20degC and 64% humidity):- This Ughey dehumidifier: extracts 100ml/24h, which makes it £1/litre of water removed (at 20p/kWh)- Meaco DD8L from 2012: 4.5l/24h, 70p/l- Ruby dry from 2009: 1.2l/day, £1.4/l- Inventor care 12L from 2017: 3.8l/day, 24p/lThe noise was actually an important aspect to me.I was even hoping that I could buy 10 of these mini peltier dehumidifiers to replace 1 big one.Verdict: maybe. There is a fan, and it makes a small noise. It's pretty quiet, but I "think" it may be about 10x quieter than a big dehumidifier, so putting 10 of these mini ones may reach a similar noise level. Also, this dehumidifier is 5x cheaper than the other big ones I bought.

Brilliant little product!
This was my second purchase of this dehumidifier as I loved it so much. The design is sleek and modern and doesn’t look out of place in my living room. Both times, they arrived quickly and were so easy to use-you literally just plug it in! There are 2 touch control buttons at the top of the device which control the power and the light function. There is the option to have the lights change continuously or lock in your preferred colour I believe. The lights are a beautiful addition! It started collecting water soon after it was plugged in and a few hours later, had collected a couple millimetres. We live in a ground floor council flat that has had mould/condensation issues for a while and whilst we’ve managed to stop it from being really bad and open the windows regularly, it somehow still manages to cause damage to our things. I think because this summer was so wet, it’s caused a flare up in the flat but I’m really hoping these dehumidifiers can prevent any future outbreaks by collecting the excess moisture in the air. All in all, I would buy this product again (I already have!) and would definitely recommend it to others.Note to manufacturer: Would be nice if it came in white!

Stylish, quiet and effective
I chose this dehumidifier because it looked quite good, with the black body and colour changing light. It was for my 17 year old son's newly decorated bedroom, which is small and suffers from condensation from an old double glazed window, causing damp and black mould on the walls and window frame. I've tried the plastic gel dehumidifiers, but needed something more powerful, and the tank looked quite large too on this one. I was pleased with the style of it on arrival, and it's simple and quiet to operate. Within an hour or two of switching it on, there was about a centimetre of water in the bottom, so very pleased with it so far. Will watch to see if the walls stay dry and mould-free, fingers crossed.

Quiet and it really does work
I chose this dehumidifier because of its modern looks, the "light show" it has built into it, a larger 750ml water tank capacity, quietness and running costs. It scores really highly in all these categories. It's only 13cm diameter round (just over 5 inches) and 21.5cm tall (8.5 inches). Real finger-light touch buttons on top - not those horrible "dome" switches, which gives it an ultra-high-tech feel. The unit beeps once when power is applied (from the included 2.5A 9v power adapter). Press the power button and it starts immediately - you hear a small amount of fan noise and air/wind noise and you will hear it in the middle of the night if there's no other noise around, but I'd estimate it to be in the 30-something dB range and therefore conducive to sleep. The light show starts straight away - a not-too-bright RGB tri-colour LED at the base of the main unit is made to cycle through a range of "white with a hint of" pastel colours including green, turquoise, blue, pink and yellow with a soft/slow change in between. Quite restful. You can stop the colour cycling with a press of the "illumination" button, and another press turns the illumination off altogether (and another press starts the light show again, etc). I read someone's review that said "ah yes, but the top button illumination [the blue ring] doesn't switch off and it's too bright." It isn't really bright - it doesn't illuminate any part of the room as far as I can see, but if it bothers you, you could always place something over it. It has to be about 40mm (1 5/8") diameter. Don't use anything bigger as the top of the unit is the vent for the air being drawn in from the side so it needs to be kept clear, but for heaven's sake - just cut out a 40mm cardboard disk and be done with it if the blue ring bothers you. The unit running for about 6 hours so far has condensed enough water out of the air to half-cover the base of the tank. But given the room I'm using it in isn't that damp, I'd say that is good going. It's certainly outperforming the disposal dehumidifier packs I was using - by a factor of at least 10 (and probably higher still). One of (if not the) lowest energy consumptions around, so I'm going to give the item a good run over several weeks to see what it's capable of. Emptying the tank is easy with this model, as the top unit just twists off - I think extracting and carrying this tank to be emptied will be easier than odd-shaped slide-in / pull-out types which I reckon I might tip up on the way to the sink, or even whilst removing them from the unit. If I had one gripe I'd say the DC power plug from the adapter should be a right-angled type, so the wire runs down the side of the unit rather than stick out from the side. It does depend on where you position the unit I suppose as to whether this would bother you. For what it's worth, I'll probably buy a DC jack extension lead just so I can hide the power wire to the adapter, and I'll make sure I get one with a right-angled connector.

Unfortunately doesn't work after 2 weeks of running in a small bedroom
Solid build and hopefully works as expected. early days but happy with purchase.Update - After using for a couple of weeks the Dehumidifier just does not take any water out of a small room, maybe its OK on window frames for condensation or a in pantry etc. I spent £99 on another one which daily empties around a litre. This product looks nice but inst fit for bedrooms / small rooms.
