Nice sturdy construction. I had to file one of the legs to match the length of the other. We’re talking fractions of a mm. Now I think proportional dividing is my new favorite thing! LOL. Well it is when it accurately measures and marks the string spacing on an acoustic guitar. . It does that well.

This seems to be of good quality. The mechanism works well and it has good sharp points. Seems durable. Happy with purchase.

Well built perfect size product will be used for a long time in my new adventure leather working.

It's exactly what I needed.

I needed small dividers to use in leather working projects to get even spacing between holes in belts. It is much faster and easier to use dividers rather than a ruler. These are very nice dividers with a strong spring which keeps them set at the desired position. A perfect tool for the job at hand.

Good compass and divider. Sharp points, stays securely locked. Spring exerts substantial pressure to keep mechanism locked where set. I am using this for precision marks that need to be repeated on a mechanical system. I would trust this to use as a divider for hand made clock gears.

I've tried a few different amazon brands of calipers, and these are by far the best 4 inch calipers on amazon.

There’s no movement when set. It’s very stable. Both tips end at the same point so taking even one milimeter is possible. The spring is very strong though. It might be desirable for the type of craft you do. I’m thinking of filling the spring down a bit to make it a bit weaker, it really requires a bit of strength to compress otherwise.

These otherwise excellent dividers are spoilt by the very poor grinding of the points. As received the the points were ground to different lengths, by grinding 3 flat faces on them. After correcting this, and finally finishing on an oilstone the dividers are very good. They are well made, with very play in them. For the price these are good value for money, if you are prepared to spend some time reshaping the points.

This divider will get a lot of use in my workshop. It is sturdy and well made. The tips line up well. The control shaft and knob are robust. There is a sliding tapered washer between the adjusting knob and the body of the divider, allowing for exact opening settings. I was happy to see a thin film of oil coating the unit allowing smooth movement. The turning knob on the top is knurled to prevent slippage. A good bang for the buck.
