Works on steel plate up to 0.200" thick.
Just what I needed to drill, tap 10-24 thread, and deburr top of hole in 1/8" hot rolled steel. They will actually work on steel up to 0.200" thick. Any thicker and it will start to tap before finishing drilling, and will start to deburr before finishing the tapping. One disappointment: it will not fit into my Milwaukee driver, even though it appears to be the same size across the hex flats as other driver bits. But it worked fine with my drill chuck.

Work well
These bits work well on thin metal. But if they bite they'll break easily so be careful.

Drill taps
They are very brittle and break easily

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Efficient, versatile, and well-made for metalwork
This 3-in-1 drill and tap bit set has been a game-changer for my metalworking projects. The combination of drilling, tapping, and countersinking in a single bit saves a ton of time, and the included SAE and metric sizes cover almost every job I encounter. The high-speed steel bits coated with titanium alloy are tough yet precise, working smoothly on aluminum, copper, brass, plastics, and thin steel sheets. I also appreciate the quick-change 1/4” hex shank adapter and organized carrying case - it makes switching bits and storing them so easy. Following the tips to go slow, use cutting oil, and drill pilot holes really makes a difference for cleaner, more accurate holes. Overall, this set is durable, convenient, and perfect for anyone who needs a versatile solution for drilling and tapping metal and other materials.

Break easily! Need negative stars.
These are made of low quality metal, break easily (I didn't even get all the way through my 1st tap) and are not accurate. The m4 0.7 screws I have don't *quite* thread properly. They do with the crappy tap I have from Harbor Freight, so these aren't even that good. I guess I should have realized how good these wouldn't be based off the price. I wanted to update this review. I feel bad about leaving a single star. That’s actually way too high.Unfortunately I can’t leave any negative stars otherwise I would’ve done that. These are amazingly bad - as in they’re breaking when I’m trying to tap aluminum.

Worked as it should have
Perfect for what I need, seems of good quality. drilled/taped 6 holes into shipping container wall without issue

They work, but aren’t very strong.
I’m giving 3 stars, because they did eventually get the job done, but not without some frustration. I think if you were using them on a drill press, they may work better. I was free hand drilling through 3/16” aluminum. Thankfully, all but one of the four that broke, broke off with enough sticking out that I could easily remove it with vise grip pliers. I think they actually seemed to work better with my 20v Dewalt impact driver at slow speed, than they did with the drill. With a typical tap, I am used to running it in partially, then backing out, then running in some more, backing out, etc. With the first 3 that broke, attempting to back out when I felt too much resistance is when they broke. I had more success with them when I would just slowly let the impact driver power through the resistance. Ended up finishing the job just fine. I still prefer this to drilling, then tapping, but be prepared to deal with some broken bits.

Working great for CNC drilling and tapping in one operation
I had 60 parts to make that all had only 1 hole to drill and tap in each one, and I didn't want to spend the time to do another tool change, so I had an idea to use one of these drill/tap combination bits and just write a combined drill/tap cycle. I had to find an ER20 hexagon collet, but once I had that, this all worked really great! I'm using a stepper motor for a tapping spindle because I can precisely control the rotation and keep it in sync with the down feed. I'm feeding the correct amount per rotation following the charts, and of course for the tap I need to feed at the tap pitch, but I have not broken one of these yet, in fact, I still have the first one in the machine. It sees to cut well, making uniform spirals. This is only aluminum, so it's pretty easy to drill and tap, and I am using a drop of oil on each hole.

Worked well for what I needed them for but won't last long as they feel cheap

Two of them broke the first time I used them. Seem like poor quality, unfortunately.

Breaks far too easily. I suspect not case hardened but brittle right through. Two broke while simply cleaning paint out of a pre-drilled hole.
