Does the job efficiently and was an easy install.
Can't complain at all, good quality and has maintained my PC since I installed it relatively quickly and transferred off of my old SSD. Was easy to install and keeps my data with plenty of extra space.

Plenty fast
Once I could get 2TB for $200, I decided to finally make the move. I am migrating from a very expensive and power consuming Adaptec RAID setup with 8 older 2.5" SSDs in a stripe 0 configuration. This thing is faster and is about the size of a stick of gum. Another reviewer here posted his test results and moped about it. I found the same exact speed tool and ran the same test. You can compare results and make your own conclusions. This was on a very early first generation 16X Threadripper with an Asus Prime X399 board. For my purposes this is plenty fast, and it is hard to conceive of a scenario/application/project where more speed would be necessary. But speed is in the eye of the beholder I suppose. Surely not as fast as a top-of-line Samsung, but I sure won't know the difference. As mentioned in another review, there was no screw included. That doesn't sound like a big deal, but despite having a drawer full of computer screws that I have collected over the years, I did not have one that fit. This was the first of these types of drives I have encountered, and the threads are much smaller than anything I have normally seen before. To be fair, I could blame the motherboard company for not providing screws as well.

Longtime Crucial Fan!
I've been installing Crucial SSD's in my PC's for years, always impressed with the performance and value compared to other excellent competitors. When the time came to upgrade the 256GB M.2 drive in my new PC, I chose Crucial once again. The biggest issues I ran into involved the USB M.2 adapter I was using for the data transfer, and the inability of Acronis to recognize the external drive as Crucial. I finally figured out how to properly clone the existing drive: install the target (blank) drive in the PC first, install the source (existing) drive into the adapter, and boot into the USB version of Acronis to run the copy. Once I did it that way, it booted fine and it works great! Compared to the traditional SSD performance in the PC, the M.2 drive is sooooo much faster, so I am so glad to have the extra space on the main drive for photo processing.

Extremely simple/fast cloning
This was a breeze to install and the Acronis free software you get from visiting crucial made cloning my old 200GB SSD to this new 2TB NVMe drive and making it a boot partition a breeze. Could not have been happier. I'm still struggling with the Crystal Disk Mark numbers to get them up closer to the 2500MB/s advertised, but for now, they are about 3x faster on reads than my old Crucial MX200 SSD and 8x faster on writes. *edit* it turns out my old(er) Z97-A/USB 3.1 motherboard only supports x2 (GEN2) speeds on the M.2, not the required x4 to get the theoretical 2.5GB/s read speeds...so this is about in line with real world best case. I did download the Micron Storage Executive program and enabled over provisioning to help with wear leveling at the expense of 7% of my drive space.

No problem at all
I purchased this as an additional upgrade to my computer. I am very happy with it as my computer boots up faster and when I am gaming the response is a bit faster. It will allow me to keep my current computer for a bit longer. (Upgraded from 32GB to 64GB.)

Easy, fast, but possible thermal throttling?
Got the 2 tb card. Use it with an M1 Mac Air and the basic recommended usb-C no tool enclosure that works well. When backing up the laptop via time machine it was fast and no issues. I then added a new volume on the external drive to copy all my photos over, 320 GB total. The first 270 GB went in 4 minutes but then took 6 more minutes to finish it, and the drive case felt warm once it slowed down but not hot. Though the case isn't bonded to the drive so the heat transfer isn't great and the drive was definitely warmer than the case. Even with the slowdown at the end the overall time was fast. I'm very happy with this drive the past couple months. Will update if it slows down or has issues in the future

Good M2 for a great price.
Using this drive as extra storage for an ASUS Tuf F17 Laptop which had an unused NVMe slot. Transfer speeds are great between the 2 drives. My only gripe is the actual drive capacity was only 1863 Gig. I know that its always a dice roll on actual drive capacity and apparently I got lowballed on this one. Overall a great storage NVMe drive though.

It works, if you know how to install it
I'm not as tech-savvy as others even though I might sound it. After some research, I found the 'right' M2 SSD that matched with my motherboard - pay close attention to this aspect otherwise, you have to return the wrong M2. Install wasn't an issue, it was getting it noticed by my machine. This actually turned out to be easy once I found a video on it. The name was: Fix SSD, Hard Drive, M.2 or USB drive not showing in Windows 10. Seriously it helped me to find and format the SDD. The contains of the SDD don't provide enough info to format and the videos from Crucial are too generic. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it. It is meant to be a slave drive for hosting my games. Good luck!

Fast read/Write speeds. So far no problems.

I bought this SSD in tandem with Sabrent SSD enclosure to be used as a relatively cheaper and faster alternative for an external drive. At first its performance was decent. It wasn't a speed demon, neither did it actually reach the advertised speeds, but for my use case and setup, it was actually good enough. I had it formatted in APFS and used it as a backup for my mac files. However, without warning, after about 6 months of service, it was completely invisible to my mac. It actually appears to be completely dead. No disk utility can salvage it as it doesn't even appear as a connected mass storage device. One of the main reasons I decided to use an SSD as opposed to HDD, apart from the fact that it is several times faster, is that it has a longer lifespan. I never expected the drive to fail so suddenly and so quickly without any suspectable cause. This was my very first Crucial product and it will likely be my last. I am very disappointed. Would not recommend.

Voto 10. Consigliatissimo.
