Are these glass or plastic? Mixed reviews.

These are all glass beads. Some of the beads have paint or acrylic coating on them, which may confuse some people. The easiest way to tell if beads are glass or plastic is to drop a bead in water. Glass beads are much heavier than plastic and they sink like a stone.

Where are these beads manufactured?

These beads come from several sources, but most of the are probably made in China. I hand sort and package the bead assortments, and I'm always looking for unique and beautiful beads to add to the mix.

If you order more than one package, will each one be different?

They will be similar but not exactly the same.

What's the approximate count in this assortment? I'm looking to do a project in the classroom and we'll need about 550 beads.

I'm not sure--was never good at guessing the jellybeans in the jar! There are a lot but I would guess it's not 550. You can contact the seller directly and ask though. They are a good mix of beads so it's worth asking.

So good!

This is exactly what I hoped it would be- lots of different shapes, colors and sizes of beads. I would absolutely order this again. The beads are beautiful and the variety is awesome. I make beaded curtain strands as well as free hanging ones & I really like having a lot of different beads to choose from so each strand is different. These beads are a great addition to my bead stash!I ordered 2 similarly described packs of beads from Amazon that were both delivered this morning. This one is FAR superior to the other and cost less. I'm curious if each bag has a similar mix or if the bags are all different. I'll likely order more to find out. Either way, I'm sure I'll be happy with what shows up!

GREAT beads!

This was the best $7 ever spent. i had an hour of fun sorting them into my bead box, only had ONE that wasn't drilled on one side, and NO plastic beads. Great sizes and selection. I really don't know what all the nay-sayers were on about.

Beads are on the smaller side.

These are decent beads, good quality and versatile. My main issue is that I wanted a variety of hole sizes, and 9/10 of the holes are very small. I had to buy a thinner chord to go with these specifically which did discourage me. Otherwise, they are very pretty beads, and worked great for what I needed.

Very nice beads, very small openings. I can't use over half of them because I can't tread them onto anything. They are beautiful though.

This is a beautiful array of beads- different finishes, textures and a good amount of each color. This is the third time I’ve ordered beads from this vendor, and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Beautiful natural beads. They were a big hit with my friends. The quantity is a small bag, about a handful or two. The holes in the beads are narrow and only fit a thin cord or hardware that adds a jump ring to the bead.
