Hard drive itself is exactly as described, works perfectly and the set up instructions are clear and effective in getting you going.In common with other buyers, it has to be said that the case is complete crap and lets down such a premium product. My case effectively broke on the first use with the zip fraying some of the surround and then became caught.Given that this is a £250+ product the company should be ashamed of itself skimping on the quality of the case. I've had headphones which cost half of the price of this item which came with better cases.You may not think that the case is an important feature, but given that you're only buying this product because you have sensitive information you wish to protect it seems to be a major oversight on the products overall design not to include a useful case for it. The company should seriously consider redesigning / resourcing more rugged cases for these products and then doing their customers the service of supplying them with one.*********************************Excellent customer support from iStorage. Good price, quality product

Excellent. Easy to set up passwords and to use.Nice look and feel to the drive.Minor quibble is that the lead is very short.Now just need to see how long it will last.

Having a PC at work and a Mac at home I needed an encrypted device that would work on both. It was more complicated to set up than indicates as it has to be formatted to work on both systems and so I had to seek IT support. Once set up it works very well and e surges all of my data is secure.

At first I couldn't get it to change the pin numbers. I phoned the company and they were great. The problem was I wasn't holding down the keys long enough. Once I knew to hold the keys down until the lights started flashing I was away and it has since performed flawlessly.

It does what it does it is a hardware encrypted USB hard drive.Just so updated:After using for a few weeks, working fine the drive when unlocked started to see an issue in that it isn't seen by Windows 10 laptop and an iMac sees it every now and then but it doesn't remain unlocked for long. Seems might be a hardware issue. Amazon have sorted out RMA and are sorting out a replacement.

Great device for secure data transfers - I needed to get 100GB+ of data securely between the UK and an overseas Data Centre since due to network constraints it could not go electronically. This fitted the bill and this is my second one because it is so useful.The keypad can be a little fiddly to use in conjunction with the indicator lights, but once you are used to it it is fine - so I can forgive them on that.Recommended if you need to get a larger amount of data from A to B and can't send it electronically.

The quality of this product is excellent. I do not care that it is expensive, it is very well engineered!

The Product is superb; beautifully engineered, provided with an elegant case, strongly built and easy to get started. I have done the initial password setting steps quickly following the instructions and the product was ready to use. It is very user friendly. Enter your 7 to15 digits numerical password and press the unlock button the DiscaShure gets ready to use in a few seconds. When you are finished and you want to sign out, simply press the lock button. Nothing could be easier than this. I am very happy and I am planning to a second one soon.

These are sturdy drives, with a high quality feel. Setup takes some practice, because you have to type in several key sequences in a limited amount of time, but once you get the hang of it they work very well. I use them to back up my law practice data. From what I can tell, the data is very secure. When the drive has been unlocked and is in use it works like any other fast drive - documents, sound recordings and even video files can be opened easily, and the audio/video files play smoothly right from the drive. An excellent product.
