53mm Coffee Distributor, Espresso Distribution Tool, Adjustable Depth Espresso Tamper Leveler with Walnut Wood Handle Fits for 54mm Breville Barista Portafilter

I am using this with a Calphalon espresso machine for which I bought a bottomless portafilter that uses a basket that is slightly larger than 58mm. I tried a few other distribution tools from amazon that are marketed as exactly 58mm and I found that the slight discrepancy in size made a lot of grounds to spill out the side. The extra .35 mm on this tool has completely fixed this problem.The build quality is great with obvious attention to precision and detail. The wood is very nicely shaped and polished for comfortable holding and the metal is machined cleanly. I really like the shaping of the wood portion and appreciate the absence of branding/text keeping it nice and simple with nice aestheticsUsability also gets high marks in that it is very simple and easy to adjust the height of the tool and, as I noted earlier, it feels very nice in the hand thanks to the smooth finish on the wood handle.

Though i thought this was an adjustable tamper, (which it is not0, it is still heavy and works well.

This has really improved the consistency of my espresso (paired with an espresso stirrer). It has some heft to it and does a nice job tamping while it distributes the grounds.

It's very well made and works as it should!

Feels really great and heavy duty. My only issue with it is that it's hard to adjust. Otherwise, it works great and it's exactly what I wanted!

It does what it needs to do a d does it good. It's got a good weight and feel to it.

I first tried a 58mm leveler similar to this one but it left a residual ring of coffee around my 58mm VST 18g basket (which is really around 59mm) for the Silvia Rancilio portafilter. So this 58.5mm fixed that problem. This leveler is simple and well made. Its not extremely heavy, but I don't require that - I just want my coffee grounds level and lightly pressed, then I tamp with my 58.5 tamper. Very consistent shots now.

El distribuidor llegó en buena condiciones, viene en un empaque presentable y una bolsa para guardarlo, me gusta que es muy fácil ajustar la altura del nivelador y lo mejor es que tiene un muy buen peso lo cual ayuda mucho, me quedé sorprendido con la calidad del producto, lo recomiendo ampliamente , la medida es 58mm.

Good value. Great item. Only complaint is that the screw adjustment goes back as you spin it in the portafilter. There should be a way to lock it in place at the desired depth.

Wow je ne m'attendais pas a une bonne qualité comme ça. Le poid est parfait et le désing aussi! Le bois est sublime et rend bien avec ma machine a espresso! Juste parfait comme grosseur. Ça vaux largement le prix!

Would have given it 5 stars if it was 53.3mm to fit the portafilter snug. Still works great for the price if your looking for a wood piece like this.
