This is a superb book that brings together widely different materials science and engineering topics. It represents Professor Murr's vision of the field, with emphasis on many of the areas he has spearheaded. The illustrations are by the author and demonstrates that he has an uncanny talent for rendering into figures complex concepts.The only negative is the price, that will deter all but the most enthusiastic readers.
