I installed the device myself with the help of a YouTube video and so far do good. Just remember you have to adjust your tension springs when you want to adjust the force of your opener. Something new for me I have no complaints thus far.

I installed this door opener on a 16 w X 14 h Martin door. It opened it just fine but closing was a different story. It only unraveled the cables and never started to close the door. After fixing the cables I checked with a professional door installer and he said that the door must be able to close all by it's self with out any help. All this door opener does is regulate how fast it closes. So before you install this door opener make sure your door will close from the fully open position with out any help. I could only get my door to close if I only opened it to about 12 foot high.

I have 3 of these openers for my 4 car garage, had them professionally installed and they did a nice job. As basic garage door openers they do their job, albeit at a snails pace, for the money you would think they would be as fast as a cheap unit, guess not. The setup with homelink in my vehicles was excruciatingly difficult and the directions were written by a 7 year old. I know security on these things are always getting stronger but for petes sake my garage is not Fort Knox! If someone wants to steal my garbage they can have it. Now onto the Aladdin Connect app, this should be fool proof but when the one button on the opener you need to work does absolutely Nothing!!!! It just sits there with it's red light taunting me while I hold it for eternity waiting for it to change color and "beep" while standing on to of my super comfortable ladder. I hate companies that can't get their "expletive" together and actually test this stuff, now I have a really expensive garage door opener that's as smart as the crap I just took. Ugh......

This was perfect for a large pole barn garage door where it would have been difficult to install a traditional opener from the tall ceiling. I was worried about the weight of the door, but this has worked effortlessly, and remains almost completely silent.
