Order arrived sooner than expected. Everything was packed with care and arrived in perfect condition. Wonderful book, illustrations are beautiful. A must have for Tolken readers and fans of he lore of Middle Earth

As a life-long Tolkien fan, it has been great to teach my son about Tolkien’s works. This is a must-own reference to any book collection (along with the Simarillion). Although this isn’t a book easily read from front to back, it has been great to use like an encyclopedia and read different chapters depending on a specific topic. With incredible TV shows and games that have recently come out about pre-Hobbit Tolkien works, this book helps to provide a history of the Tolkien world for fans of any age.

I was a little worried about opening this book, even though I had bought the Silmarillion Illustrated Edition and loved it. After buying the Silmarillion, I had purchased the one-volume illustrated edition of the Lord of the Rings from the same publisher, and I was shocked to see that they used a very thin paper that did not match the quality of the Silmarillion volume. So I opened the book immediately and went through as many pages as I could. I am happy to report that it was done just as well as the Silmarillion edition was. The two volumes look perfect next to each other, and I’m very happy to have them on my bookshelf. I re-read a couple of the stories. I was so excited to have the book again. I am so happy to have it to replace the original copy (that I bought back in the 80s.).

I bought this because I love the lord of the rings trilogy and the hobbit trilogy. The movies are exceptionally done and I absolutely love the movies.

The media could not be loaded. Great gift for all the Lord of the rings fans. This is a continuation of middle earth. The book is good quality and has beautiful pictures in side.Perfect for reading or just decoration. ✨

Have loved the originals, now look forward to seeing if this is the source material for the Prime series... Great author, great price, great timing.

The book was delivered with mild damage to the very nicely illustrated dust jacket. This seems to be a continuing issue as I've had this same issue with three other Tolkien books.If you're going to order this version of the book, you should definitely expect mild or moderate damage to the dust jacket.The book itself is in good condition and has excellent illustrations.
