The Classic Italian Rainbow Cakebites are my new favourite food. I've ordered them twice so far, and the second time I did, I had them opened and a cakebite was in my mouth before the delivery truck had even pulled out of the driveway. Maybe I sound like a real gluttonous pig, but it's true. That means, 4 or 12 individually wrapped packages, and each of the packages contains 3 of the little square cakebites they show in the photos. (So, if you get a pack of 4, you get 12 cakebites total, and if you get a pack of 12, you will be getting 36 cakebites total, so on and so forth.) The most recent order I placed arrived July 18th, and the cakebites I received have a stamped best by date of Nov 20th, of the same year (to give you an idea of the shelf life.)I don't know much about Italian desserts, but I can tell you that as someone with a German heritage, these things are right up my alley. They taste more like a traditional German or Dutch food to me than anything else I've found on Amazon. Incredible strong almond-y, marzipan tasting cake, with a thin chocolate coating. The cakes I've received have been moist and fresh. Make sure if you order them in the summer and live in a hot area, to rescue your shipment from the outside heat right away when they arrive to prevent the chocolate and sprinkles from melting and deforming the cakes. (Don't worry- they still taste amazing if they're deformed or mashed.) Seriously, my new favourite dessert and snack food.

Hard to find in stores. I like to have these to add to cookie trays. Add variety to gifts trays without adding work. Taste great and make a nice addition to holiday trays.

I love pumpkin but I am not liking flavor in this. I won’t buy it again. If you like pumpkin try it as everyone has a different opinion, different tastes. It arrived fresh and in perfect condition Not a lot of spice so maybe I would like it with a bit more cinnamon, nutmeg, or something.

I ordered this because they looked tasty and cute.They are neither tasty nor cute.Looks: the chocolate had melted and resolidified so the chocolate coating was lumpy and uneven. It was just messy all around.Smell/Flavor: the minute I opened a package (each pack has three pieces), I was immediately hit by them smell of chemical flavoring of some kind. I assume it was meant to be almond extract, but it smelled more like gasoline or some kind of fuel.I should have stopped there. But I soldiered on and ate a piece - just popped one in my mouth.Guys, I have never had almond extract that tasted like death. Well, I guess now I can say I have indeed tasted death by almond extract. It tasted of chemicals/gasoline/some kind of oil reside. It gets worse when you actually swallow (I can't believe I didn't just spit it out.). It leaves behind this strange flavor that lingers. Does anyone remember that weird toy back in the 80s/90s with a tube of rubbery stuff and a straw, and you put a gob of the rubbery stuff on the end of the straw, then swirl that around in your mouth, then blow on the other end to make a "Plastic Bubble"? Does anyone remember that weird taste that almost burned your mouth?That's what it tasted like.I feel like eating this would give you throat cancer.

It is just enough to make you believe you ruined your Healthy eating plan, but you didn't. As long as you don't indulgein them every day.The best part is every time you treat yourself to these, they are fresh and delectable, no dried out, stale cake to deal with.
