Purchased a few years ago to use as a radiant heat panel in my monitor lizard’s large, insulated enclosure. It’s not sole or primary heat source, but it helps to keep the ambient temperature in the 80’s-90’s for him. Its still working and I’ve been satisfied with this severing its purpose.

Maintains heat well. I love that you can adjust the temperature. Easily mounts to the side of chick brooders.

The heater seems well made for the money.As others have mentioned it would be nice if the adjustable temp controller had some sort of markings/settings. However, this was a non issue, with some common sense imo.Would also have been nice to include a cord connection protector.My hens went outside into the coop while late night / early am temps got down to 40°.As mentioned in other reviews, this doesn't really do much to actually heat the coop, which is not that big fwiw. I'd say it may have raised the ambient temp inside MAYBE 5°.It works far more like a chick brooder heater, where the chickens need to get close to it to receive its warmth & comfort.That said, I actually used it as a brooder heater for my 2nd clutch of chicks and it worked very well.Versatility: can be used for all ages & types of poultry.Final thoughts: it's not a coop heater at all, as it will not actually warm up your coop.It will However provide ample warmth if your birds choose to lay next to it.Would be best used as a brooder heater OR installed very close up to their roosting bars.Does it work well? Sure. Does it do what it is labeled to do? Not really.It will keep em warm if installed against / above where they roost. It will not warm up even a smaller, non-walk-in coop in cold weather.

I can adjust how warm it gets, no fire risk. Love this for my silkies!

This product does work and can reach about 170°F, but the design is lacking in several critical areas. The core is essentially an epoxy plate covered by a thin sheet of aluminum foil, with silicone heater wire attached using foil tape. Unfortunately, the tape is already failing to secure the wires properly.There is minimal overheat protection, with only two thermistors taped to the back. However, the thermistors don't seem to effectively shut off the device when the tape fails or when there's an issue with the wires. A major concern is that if the silicone wire fails and makes contact with the aluminum plate, it could become energized, creating a serious safety risk. The device is not grounded, which compounds the issue.Overall, the design feels poorly executed, and I would not feel confident using this without significant modifications for safety. I am very disappointed with the overall quality.

For the low wattage the screen is hot to touch even on a low setting. It's also those click dial turn on/off so an accidentally bump may slide it to a higher setting. I have another heater of the same name that I prefer which is not as hot to touch and has 3 levels of heat and timer and remote. This one makes me too nervous to have in the coop.

UPDATE: seller was absolutely wonderful in sending a replacement coop heater after they reached out on their own after they saw my review. 10/10 for service and ease of them sending a replacement. I have high hopes that the first one stopping working was one time eventOrdered April 26 today is May 8th and it has stopped working that's including a few days for delivery since Amazon is slow. Horrible waste and now I'm without a heater for my chickens

Exactly what we were looking for! It mounted perfect and easily to the inside of our coop and heated so well!

I have it on low 1 and keeps the water from freezing in my chicken coup

Item is easy to instal and assemble. Runs hot to touch. I have installed it high on the coop wall out of reach of my chickens.
