Fox Run Non-Stick Baking Mat, Silicone, 11.75-Inch x 16.5-Inch

I have used several brands of Silicone Baking Mats in varying price ranges, from You-Get-What-You-Pay-For-Cheap to More-Than-I-Should-Have-Spent-Expensive. The Fox Run Silicone Baking Mat is comparable to more expensive baking mats, and it's very reasonably priced.In the few weeks I've had this mat, I've used it to make tofu, several types of cookies, biscotti, and focaccia. It's performed well on all occasions: nothing sticks and everything bakes evenly. It's thicker than some of the other mats I have, and I like the heavier weight. Some baking mats are very sticky-feeling, but this one is not.So far, this mat hasn't retained food odors; however, I haven't cooked anything particularly pungent on it (I keep this one for cookies, breads, etc...I use another one for foods with garlic, onions, etc). The one con that I've noticed with this mat is that it stains more easily than my others-- the first batch of chocolate chip cookies I made left telltale chip marks all over the mat. But, since stains don't affect the mat's performance, I didn't take off a star on my rating.Try the Fox Run Silicone Baking Mat--I'll certainly buy another in the future if the price remains as reasonable as it is now.

I read all the reviews carefully before buying these to replace the silicone mats I had before that warped so badly they messed up my cookies. After comparing all the brands offered, including the silpat ones, I am so glad I selected these. They were affordable, do not warp, and work great. After cooking turkey bacon I did notice some staining, as I expected I would. This happens with more expensive brands as well. I have yet to notice any odors mentioned in other reviews I have read about using silicone mats. I like the temperature rating on these mats and love the measurements printed on them too. I hand wash them, very easy and takes seconds, very happy with the price. No longer buying parchment paper or worrying about the safety of my aluminum sheet pans. I liked them enough to order a second time and would consider this an item gift worthy for those who cook. Excellent product at a great price.

Great baking mat! I've had these for about half a year and, although they have started to yellow a bit, they are still non-stick and work well. These mats are fairly thick and easy to clean. I bake everything from French macarons to chocolate chip cookies on it and I've never had food stick or have burnt bottoms. In fact, I've had perfectly baked cookies slide off of the sheet.The only grip that I have with these sheets is that they don't perfectly fit into my Nordic Ware Half-Sheet pans. (If this mat perfectly fit into a half sheet, I'd give them 5+ stars).

I have seen other silicone baking sheets at double the cost. This one I took a chance on and I am not sorry. There are several features I really love. It has a bordered edge that is ruled in centimeters. You can use it to roll out your pastry dough and then measure and indent what you need. It bakes very well. I have done cookies, pizza, croissants, danish. I even drizzled on butter and sugar to make little candy pieces for sprinkling. They came right off and were fab on ice cream. The underside of you pastries will not burn or stick. The clean up is very easy just rub with soapy water and rinse. I have used it lots of times and very few stains so far. But this does not affect the quality, just appearance of the mat. I would recommend this for sure.

It was never mentioned in the info but this mat is only supposed to be used up to 480 degrees in the oven. I say this because I was planning to use it with my artisan/rustic breads which are baked at 500 or 550. Not a problem though, I am not a fanatic about it! I bake a little longer at 400-450 degrees and the bread turns out fine. No more wasting money on parchment papers for the pans either. I can even proof the bread on this mat tucked inside the folds of my "couche" (so soft dough keeps its shape) and then transfer the mat to the pan when ready to bake. I knead dough and shape breads/rolls on the mat, and it's so much easier to take it to the sink for a rinse instead of hefting the heavy cutting board over there! Of course you can't cut on it, or use any kind of scraper, so I "cut" with the side of a silicone spatula or soft silicone bowl scraper. Good quality, good looks, and very handy!

I use the baking mat almost exclusively for roasting meats and veges, and frankly, it's performance has been poor. It stained almost immediately, and it is quite challenging to clean. I often use a cleaning brush, and that has also been ineffective in cleaning it. I have resorted to putting it in the dishwasher several times, which seems to work reasonably well, although it now has a greasy slimy feel, and the border has peeled away in several places where I've had to scrub it clean. It won't be long before it's in the trash.

After 2 years of use (and quite frankly, abuse) this thing has stood up incredibly well. Compared to other brands, this thing hasn't developed any weird marks, cuts, holes, or shedding of the silicone layer. One of my most used kitchen purchases ever. Nothing sticks, easy to clean, durable, and incredible value over time.

This baking sheet is quite literally the greatest baking sheet I have ever used. I have a slough of baking sheets and baking pans that this fits into. Cleanup is a breeze, just a little soapy water and it all comes off. I have noticed some slight discolouration from where various items have been baked, but that's all. I'm thinking of buying a handful more so that I can utilize multiple baking sheets/pans at the same time.This simple baking mat has changed my methods of using my oven.

I purchased this Mat specifically because Amazon was one of the only places I could find one this large. All other retail stores I had been to that carry these mats only carried them in smaller sizes. I just recently used this mat in the oven to bake fries and it worked awesome. No mess, really easy to clean. Love it.

Using this baking mat makes clean up a breeze. Usually I just wipe it off with a paper towel. However, this mat can burn.I had !/2 doz. cookies too many and rather that run the oven for another 15 minuites I overlapped my baking sheet with the 6 cookies over another sheet. Within 10 minuites the kitchen was filled with smoke. The six cookies were burned black and the silicone baking sheet was burned as well. No other cookies (3 racks) in the oven were burned so must have been something to do with having the baking mat tipped up at an angle in the oven. Live and learn. I've ordered myself another couple of fox run baking mats just in case.
