History of Pizza in Columbus, Ohio
This book details the history of "Columbus style" pizza beginning in the 1930's - 1940's. It's quite comprehensive in the detail of the families (mostly Italian immigrants) that began our local Italian restaurants/pizzarias, most of which are still in operation! Deeper in, the book provides information on how many other independent pizzarias in the metro area started including those that were established over most of the 20th century. Quite a fascinating (even mouthwatering) read. This book has inspired me to try many of the local pizzarias I've never been to in the coming year.

Most comprehensive history of pizza in Central Ohio!
As somewhat of an amateur Columbus pizza connoisseur myself, I became familiar with the author's work many years ago through his informative CMH Gourmand blog. Needless to say, when I heard that Jim was publishing a book detailing the history of pizza in central Ohio, I was all in and eagerly awaited my chance to order a copy! And he did not disappoint! His tales of TAT and Massey's (childhood favorites) origins, among others, only serve to enhance my experience when I order from them now, knowing the rich history and passion that went into their growth!

Great read on my favorite subject
Jim is a crazy wealth of knowledge on a subject I've debated and considered more than most...pizza in Columbus.Having shared a few slices with him over the last couple decades, this purchase was a must. Did not disappoint. Tons of history, and a fun style of writing makes this a win for anyone who takes pizza seriously.

Quintessential Local Pizza History
An unknown and heretofore largely undiscussed part of Central Ohio history, Columbus Pizza is a fascinating deep dive into the development of one of the most ubiquitous foods on the planet, and our local community's role in its spread. Part local food guide, part history lesson, part colorful anecdotes, this book is laid out in a clear, concise, and thoroughly fascinating manner. Moreover, the author distinguishes himself and this work by writing in an unpretentious and accessible style, that makes for a fun read with lots of replay value. If you aren't familiar with Columbus-style pizza, or live in the area and want to know more, this book is for you.

Pizza pizza?
A great overview of Columbus pizza history. Focuses mainly on the shops and families, covering pretty much all of them over the years. Goes into some detail about style, suppliers, etc. If you grew up or lived in Columbus, this is for you. If you like pizza (okay, are somewhat obsessive about it,) this is for you. A few photos, lots of stories from family and employees.

Great book, needed an editor though
Really great book to talk about the history of Cbus Pizza. A lot of names I recognized or know. Biggest complaint was that the author isn't the best at organizing his information. Tended to jump around and overall could have used a better editor. Also he failed to uncover that Gatto's pizza (who prides themselves in their homemade sausage), bought their dough frozen for years! Might still do it.
