Works great on old rifle stocks. Offers great protection and esthetics. It also dries fast. Just be warned it has a strong odor. Bot necessarily a bad odor, but a strong one.

This is a wonderful product. It makes for a beautiful wood finish and really makes the grain pop! It's very easy to apply and is VOC free.

Last year we replaced most of our old plastic cooking utensils with wood ones -- teak and acacia. These work well but the initial coating, if any, wears off pretty quickly. I did some research online and found that Tung Oil is one of the best choices for keeping wood utensils sealed. It is plant-based and not a petroleum product like mineral oil. It's even supposed to last longer.Whenever our wood utensils start to look dry or porous I wipe on this Tung Oil with a clean cloth and let it soak it. I typically wait an hour and then either wipe off the excess or put on another coat. Then the hard part is not using them for a week or so while the oil cures. I just leave them sitting on a shelf. We have pretty much two sets of wood utensils so I can use the second set while the first one dries. I don't notice any smell or stickiness when I follow this approach.This one bottle will last for years. One application seems to last a couple months for the amount of cooking we do.

When my father passed away, I inherited two of his guns. They hadn't been cared for very well for sometime, and I wasn't sure it the wood could be to restored and treated as it warranted.I followed the directions to the letter, respecting the power of this product and was rewarded with a luster, vitality, and sheen of the natural wood on the firearms to that have brought compliments from everyone that I have shown them to. This is a serious product that responds wonderfully with the requisite level of respect and following the directions as clearly defined.A wonderful product that does as it says.

This has been a fairly decent time oil, it works well when thinned and also with when used with something like a Japan drier but then also by itself as you build up coats.As a hint, when you take the cap off there is a seal under it, just punch a small hole in it - do not take it all the way off. This allows you to dispense as much as you need but also keep air away from the tung oil as much as possible - exposure to air ruins unused tung oil.

100% pure Tung oil is somewhat difficult to find in stores so I’m glad this product is available. Tung oil comes from a tropical tree and is one of the few oils that will naturally cure to form a hard protective coating almost like varnish. I used this on a bunch of exotic hardwoods that I cut and carved, and I’m always amazed at how this oil brings out the color of the wood. I had several exotic woods that were all nearly identical in color, but when I applied this oil the changes were drastic. And after curing in sunlight and air for 24 hours the oil had transformed into a clear hard coating, while retaining the beautiful colorations. Highly recommend using this stuff on any and every unfinished wood surface. You’ll be amazed with the results.

The bottle was bigger than I needed, but was the quality I wanted. It worked beautifully. Attached is a picture of a cutting board that I had sanded the previous finish off of. I sanded it until is was velvety smooth. Then I applied multiple coats of Hope's Tung Oil and it looks beautiful - just see for yourself! You need to allow a LOT of drying time between coats. I first had it drying in my garage, but then realized it was somewhat cool out there and it was taking a looooong time to dry. So, I brought it into my office and it went more quickly (uh... less long would be a better way to say that!). Anyway, if you are looking for a tung oil finish, this is a great product!

I wanted to double up on protection for my outdoor potting benches to give them a little more longevity. This product was easy to use, went on quickly and did not change the color or sheen of what I put it on much. No offensive smells or skin irritation either a little goes a long way.
