Excellent book
I have read all of Dr. Siegel's books and love them all. He has such good advise for anyone going through cancer treatments and for family. Such positive information that is helpful coping with life, you don't have to have cancer to benefit from this book. I plan to read it again.

A wonderful introduction to the concept of self-healing
This book was given to me when I had a liver transplant. What a blessing! Now I give it to anyone who faces a serious health situation. For me, it was an introduction into how I could help myself heal - by putting my mind to work to that end. It was my introduction to the mind-body connection, and how powerful the mind is in the healing process. I'm 25 years post-transplant, and happy to have been introduced to the concept that a healthy lifestyle also includes a healthy attitude. Every little bit helps - while medicine has come a long way - there is much that we can do for ourselves when it comes to healing. Thank you Dr. Siegel!

A book everyone should read..not just when you get sick
Bernie Siegel has no doubt saved a lot of lives (including my dad) and has also improved the quality and meaning of my life. He wrote this book at a time when his ideas were viewed as insane and he was laughed at for the way in which he believes the mind and body are one in the same. Nowadays he is revered by doctors who have learned that he was right on the money. I think his work was a big part of the changes in medicine we have seen over the past 20 years.

Love This Book. You will be inspired
Beautiful and powerful book... great for anyone who works in or utilizes health care (so... everyone). Stayed up reading it all night when my mom died. She had been reading it when she died of cancer and I was just looking for a quote to use at her service but couldn't stop reading. Should be required reading for clinicians

Wonderful to loan or give -- if you can part with it!
I loaned out my copy a few days ago to the relative of a woman I don't even know because she is dealing with the throwing up her chemo is causing. Siegel discusses mental ways to hang in there and even stop it. I hadn't looked in it for awhile and saw parts I had forgotten so I had trouble loaning it out! I should just break down and buy another copy...
