Bought 2 of these for lifting oak chunks on the wood splitter. Saves a lot on losing your grip if you don't have these and if you handle lumber a lot, they're great for pulling boards out of the pile and not wearing out your work gloves or getting your hands full of slivers. I've never been any kind of fan of anything made in China but these are quality hooks that have good even welds and a thick coat of powder coating. And if you don't handle firewood or lumber, you can always mount one in the bathroom. They make a dandy toilet paper holder.

The radius of the hook bend is a little too tight for the way I am used to using them. It’s hard to find the “T” handle versions that hold up which is what I prefer but I thought I’d try these. They do work as intended once you adjust your style to their design. I’ll keep scanning the internet for antique sets I can put back to work and these will be spares.

I purchased a pair of these hay hooks as a possible alternative for peavy hand hooks or husqvarna lifting hook ($34 for one!!!!) to move log rounds while splitting fire wood. They worked better than I expected. They bit in deep to the round ends with minimal effort on my part and securely held the round. I was able to split and stack a cord of green oak in 2 hrs. These saved my hands and back!!!!

Getting harder to pull bales my age this helped get off my truck

This is my second hook. I split and sell firewood for side cash and this helps out soooo much and saves my back a ton of strain. The tip will start to warp on harder woods but for the price and the reduced strain on my back it’s so worth it.

I read and hear there's other uses for these besides moving hay. So it's another useful multitool.As a hay hook, if you use it to reach out and snag a bale and drag it somewhere, it works. I wanted themto (using 2) hook on to both sides of a traditional rectangular bale and pick it up to carry it so the twine/wiredoesn't cut into my hand. The hooks don't engage deep enough into the bale, and slide out. I'll probably fix that by heating the hook and changing the angle. Therefore, the product didn't seem to work as intended, but it seems made with decent quality materialsand will hold up .to forces exerted by those with normal adult strength for other uses.

Heavy construction hook. Works well for lifting crawfish baskets from boiling pots. Hooks into the bottom of baskets and keeps hands away from hot metal and boiling water.
