Excellent product, protects, heals and seals in moisture, especially for sensitive skin or chapped skin. We use this for heat rash, chapped skin and other tender areas in need of protection. A friend gave me some in the middle of summer for a terrible heat rash that I had and it cleared it up within a day, nothing but the peeling "burned" skin after two days and by day three I was just applying once or twice a day in thin layers to prevent future heat rash. We live in a very hot and humid part of Texas and Heat rash is something I've fought all my life. This stuff is amazing!

First of all, it was delivered sooner than promised, and my sister and I were so happy because we were running out. We use this on my mom, who is bedridden and wears Depend underwear, so needless to say we try very hard to keep her dry to avoid any kind of skin irritation. Unfortunately, due to her incontinence, sometimes that was unavoidable. There was this one instance in which my mom had a really bad (and painful) split in her skin, and we were feeling her pain, and were treating it as best as we could with other skin protectants as well as home remedies, to no avail. Then, thankfully, unaware that we had it, we discovered we had one unused jar of Lantiseptic amongst her other skin protectants. We put it on the wound and all over her bottom at night, and the very next morning after she woke up and we checked her, the wound was sealed and dry, and her whole bottom area was dry as well. Now my mother's bottom area is always dry, no matter how wet her diaper might be. My sister and I are so happy with this product, that is all we will ever use on my mom. Love it, love it, love it! Get it, you won't regret it.

I bought this for a neighbor who is undergoing chemo treatments for cancer. One of the side effects from her medicine is that her skin is cracking around her fingernails and it is painful. The Lantiseptic has helped to heal her skin and close the painful cracks. She applies it liberally each day and now it is preventing any more cracks from appearing. Lantiseptic has 50 % lanoline and Lanoline is recommended for severe dry skin. Pure Lanoline is very thick and is harder to apply so the Lantiseptic works much better because it is creamier and easier to apply.

I came across this quite randomly. My two year old is still in diapers and has very sensitive skin. For the most part, we were using the maximum strength Desitin, but this product is so much better than Desitin, especially when he is in the early stages of getting a diaper rash. He had a bad GI issue for a week, and normally it would have taken two weeks just to heal the resulting rash. We used this product, and there were no signs of peeling or irritation after his illness had passed. We've used so many creams - Calmoseptine, Destin (every strength), Pinx, Angel baby balm, aquaphor, and coconut oil based creams. I wish I would have had this product two years ago. It is expensive (compared to other creams), but I think it has saved me at least one trip to the pediatrician, which actually makes it a deal when considering co-pays.

I am suffering skin loss due to chemotherapy . The effect is cumulative which means the loss of skin gets worse with each treatment . I tried A&D ointment & Desitin with some relief but smelling like Desitin at my age was like advertising. This product works better, it’s not greasy like A&D , no odor . I cannot believe the relief I have had . This is exactly what I needed.

A-MAZING!!!!!! I decided to give this a shot after trying EVERYTHING for our little one's eczema. She has been on several different prescriptions and I've tried some of "the best" over the counter products available. I was a lover of Hydrolatum but it just wasn't getting the job done during these cold New England Winter months so I decided to give this a try. Within one overnight application, ALL the eczema bumps on her arms were gone. Her cheeks look better than they ever have and the red spots on the back of her knees and the folds of her arms were gone in two applications. I am SO HAPPY I gave this a try! My only complaint is that it is "sticky" and takes a little massaging to rub in well. I only use it at night. I would be so happy if this were also available in an all purpose "daily" cream. If you've been on the fence about trying this for eczema..give it a try!

It has been used in my family for over 20 years. One 12 oz container lasted us for 15 years. Our second container appears it will last us that long also. I bought this new one since I left the 2nd container in a remote location 4400 miles away. And will retrieve it next summer. I do have a problem with the way the current product was handled in shipping. The product should always be shipped and stored TOP side up since it it prone to melting at temperatures over 100 degrees F. Mine arrives and had been laying on its side thus it had melted and hardened so the lid was covered with the product on the inside and one side was clean all the way to the bottom of the container. It is difficult get the product back down into the container unless a person leaves it out in the hot sun or heats the container some other way.
