Great what I was looking for!
I am going to give this 5 stars I have not had a chance to really walk with it yet. Got it set up and I found an easy way to attach the lanyard that comes with it! What I did was: get some hair spray or any sticky hair product coat the small end with it and it goes thru. I used a pin to coax it out the final hole but it was so easy doing that!! I did purchase the Jawbone Up also too bad I did not find this first. It has a lot of nice features on it and it does reset everyday. I plan on seeing if the Jawbone Up and this come close. On days I do not want to wear the up or feel I might put it in jeopardy of losing it or getting it wet, I will use this. I did receive two e-mails from the company after I purchased it. One had the manual attached and one asked if I received it. So, if you are looking for a nice pedometer and want to keep track of your miles and calories burned, I would recommend it. I also wanted to mention there is a video in youtube on how to measure your stride. It does not have a clip, I did lose a pedometer because it was clipped to my pocket and fell off. It broke. This comes with a small lanyard and what I plan on doing is attaching it to a larger one and wearing it around my neck. Happy Walking!

OK for when I don't have my Phone....
The day after buying this pedometer, I found a free app for my android phone which is easier to use, easier to read and provides more information. I wanted to return this without even opening the box, but when I discovered return shipping was about $6, I decided to keep it. I used both this item and my phones app simultaneously to see how close they would be as far as results are concerned. I made sure to set the preferences the same for an apples to apples comparison. Walking about 13k steps, there was about a 1k difference in steps recorded, with theiTro having the higher count in steps and calories. If I find myself in a situation where carrying my phone is not practical or possible, the iTro will come in handy.

Probably works. Works counting steps anyhow.
Tried to set up the pedometer and it's far more complicated than a mere mortal can figure out. It's so complicated that I can't keep track of where I am in the setup process long enough for it to keep it's current setting to know what the next step is I have to take. It keeps going back to ground zero after a mere 5 seconds or so. You have to have a photographic memory to avoid starting all over again in the sequence of setup steps. It took me about 45 minutes to set up the basic parameters.I haven't the faintest idea what the strap that goes in the strap holder is for because it's way to small to put around your neck and it's a joke that the instructions suggest you do that. If I drape it around my arm it doesn't register anything when I move around. If I put it in my pocket it increases the step count on average of 2 steps for every step I take. My brain was exhausted by the time I got to the part that supposed to tell you things like activity time, checking your ongoing achievements, and using the memory function, and view stored data in memory mode.I took it jogging with me in my front left pocket and took over 7,000 steps in 4 miles. I registered just over 2,800 steps. Oddly, when I trudged downstairs after the jog, it registered one step per step down. So if I did all my exercise climbing steps maybe it would work. But for my exercise I jog 4 miles per day, and so it just doesn't work for what I do. 2/5/16 It seems to count steps okay now. That's all I really need it for. The rest is too complicated for the satisfaction it brings to come to grips with it. But my 4 mile jog is the same every day except for my speed. The step count is an indication of my speed: the longer my stride, the faster I jog and the fewer strides I take.

Very dissatisfied adds counts steps while driving or standing still! No customer service.
It is mostly accurate on counting steps, I would say about 80%. But my device is so sensitive it adds steps while I am driving my car, or when I am sitting, standing but shaking a little. All in all it adds a few hundred steps a day that I didn’t take! I tried e mailing customer service that maybe my device isn’t functioning the way it should, but received no response. It is so sensitive that if I hold it in my hand while standing still and just twist it slightly, it starts counting steps. Very poor customer service I e mailed them twice with no response. Would love if customer service would respond and help me fix the issue, I would be happy to update this review.

Inaccurate Step Reading
It's convenient, well sized, but is not accurate with counting steps. I followed the set-up instructions to the T in terms of measuring my stride. However, when tracking sometimes it only showed my steps every 10 steps--then it began showing the steps singly, and then it would jam. I thought it was going back to the every 10-step montoring, but instead I would walk 20 steps and it would only show 10. Later that day I decided to test it by walking 100 steps and comparing it to the pedometer. The first time it was 20 steps behind at the end; the second time, it was behind 35 steps. I contacted customer service, which initially seemed very motivated to keep only good reviews for this product--but when I emailed about the pedometer skipping steps, Stephanie from customer service replied, 'Thanks a lot for your email! What seems a little funny is just a result of the 10 step error correction. That's quite normal and shows that everything works well.' Thanks a lot, iTro. Don't waste your money, unless you're ok with missing 20%+ of your steps.

Great product - I'm very pleased with my purchase.
My pedometer arrived right on time and I love it. I had a Fitbit, but wanted something a little less techy. Something that didn't track every moment and that I didn't have to input everyday. This is the device meant for me. It was a little tricky setting up only because by the time I finished reading an instruction, the pedometer had reverted to start so I had to start over. Once I got the hang of it, it was easy to finish up and get walking. I keep this either in my pocket or clipped to my bra. I forget about it except when I reach my goal and it beeps at me. I really like this pedometer and would definitely recommend it to others.
