One of the two blades I bought came bent, but that's not bad by any means! In fact, I kinda laughed when I noticed it while doing my stance practice, and with no effort I was able to rebend it back into a straight shape. Now that might cause for some concern, as a flexible blade isn't ideal for some, but it doesn't do The Wave every time you draw the weapon. It's also much tougher than it looks. I think the best part, though, is the hilt. The handle feels like a true Katana hilt, both in size and texture. The Tsuba (handle guard) is also very cool in design. I have but two "negatives" I can find for myself: 1 - Weight. The sword is on the lighter side of the scale for a sparring weapon, about 1/3rd the heft of a real Katana. Yes, it's just a practice sword, but it'll throw you off balance if you've ever held a true Katana. 2 - The Scabbard. The sheath is a little too big, in terms of width, for the blade. The sword rattles around in the case and even the scabbard itself feels of a much lesser quality than the weapon (though by no means does the case need to be AS sturdy as the blade). It just doesn't feel like a good match-up. However, I still give it my 5 stars for all the good things I've mentioned and for the vendor's readiness to ship the product.
