Careful about the description.
I bought 8 piece set but only get 4 piece, and the customer service said 4 containers plus 4 lids equals 8 pieces. Is’t that funny? I’m returning it.

Not as good as the original
I like the original ones much better. They had a separate insert to keep produce from touching the bottom of the container. These just have little bumps on the bottom. They do not keep the produce as fresh as the ones with inserts.

Disappointed
I am assuming the company changed the style (manufacturing process) of this product. The green filter (base) that goes inside on the bottom to facilitate breathable storage-not included! Now container has moulded bumps built into the bottom - NOT near as efficient, IMO. Will not spend this kind of money again.

Terrible product. Doesn’t close first use after washing.
I bought these based on the reviews but this is a piece of junk. I lost 35 USD and will trash those. They are not even closing fully. Save your money and go with glassware. The idea seems good but the plastic is awful. My glad or ziploc plastic do the same for a few bucks. Crazy bad quality. Dec 2020 purchase.

Pretty awesome
Okay, so I’ve had this spinach in this container for 2 1/2 weeks. What?! Now I will say that I did have to pick out some leaves that had moisture and were a little wilted (pictured), but lasting 2 1/2 weeks, when my spinach would go bad after a week in a regular container or the bag it came in? I’ll take it! I can’t really speak on fruit preservation, because we eat it so frequently. Sorry!I think the key is not washing the produce before putting them in the containers. So it’s a little inconvenient having to wash your produce every time you want fruit or greens, but the lack of moisture helps.

This used to be a great product
I have several of the previous version by Rubbermaid. I abandoned all of my other stay fresh containers for the versions I have. I wanted additional containers in smaller sizes, and these arrived today, along with a few other orders. They cheapened them up and, in turn, made them worse. The plastic seems thinner on the smaller model (which is not a big deal). They removed the bottom grate, which separated liquids from the juice of melons and other fruits. Instead, they pushed bubbles up from the bottom to give emulate the grate they used to have. This is a fail, and all of the units I bought are being returned. Instead, I will look for someone with some of the previous versions and begin looking for another company that makes these better. Rubbermaid, I am disappointed in you. I have added a photo of the current version versus the new to see the comparison.

BUY THESE NOW!!! GAME CHANGER!!
I will never toss strawberries or mushrooms or hopefully any other produce again. I just used mushrooms from last fridays grocery order in our Alfredo tonight(7 days later). They were fine. Normally they would be slimy and I'd have to throw them away. I love these containers. I am not putting mine in the dishwasher. I've lost too many containers along the way. There is no filter to remove or clean. The lid I just hand wash and rinse as normal. This photo shows 7 day old Strawberries and blueberries. They aren't as beautiful as when I bought them but they are still edible and I didn't have to toss them today as I normally would. These containers are a game changer for real!!!!

GREAT PRODUCT
When I bought this Rubbermaid Freshworks Saver, I didnt realize it didnt come with the green drain shelf. Rubbermaid is an excellent company so I decided to give this a try. Needless to say, I was so surprised at how it has kept my fresh spinach FRESH. I put fresh spinach in this container two weeks ago and there is not one wilted leaf. I dont have to worry about the drain/strainer shelf anymore. Im perfectly content with this product and really overjoyed. I buy a lot of produce RFS preserves my produce much longer than I would expect. Even berries dont spoil as quickly in RFS containers. Sometimes I just make an abundance of food for the week, and my cooked foods also stays fresh. I have the original RFS containers and I now these (which are less expensive) and please with both. COVID has caused many of us to use our money wisely. The is an excellent addition to the wise shopper, cooks, and chefs in any family

Excellent by far cheaper alternatives
Excellent product but there is a very similar make for a fraction of the price of Rubbermaid.

The new FreshWorks container style is better for lettuce, but the old style is better for berries.
I ordered this set hoping that the new style with the bumps was significantly better than the old style with the crisp tray I have, but for some reason my order was missing pieces. I received the 18.1 cup large, but was missing the 11.3 cup large short container, and instead of a 7.2 cup medium and a 4.6 cup medium short container, I received two 4.6 cup medium short containers. I also noticed that the new 18.1 cup large was the same size as my old style 17.3 cup large container. It makes me wonder if the new style 7.2 cup medium is the same size as the old style 6.3 cup medium container, but I don't know the answer to this, since it I didn't receive the 7.2 cup size. Looking at the old style crisp tray, I could be mistaken but I don't think it could take up almost a cup of space, so I'm left wondering which measurement is correct.I tried out and compared the old style with the new one before I decided whether or not to get a replacement set. I would say that both the new and the old style FreshWorks containers are sturdy. I like that they both have lifetime filters built into the lids and the containers are dishwasher safe. You can see before and after pictures of my bananas, lettuce and berries. For the bananas, I thought the results were very similar between containers and no container after about 5 days. The new style might be slightly better since the banana didn't have quite as many brown spots and was just very slightly more firm than the banana in the old style container, and the banana in the old style container was just slightly better than no container. Overall though, all the bananas were ripening at around the same rate, so it was a draw. For the lettuce, the results were again similar after 5 days, however the lettuce in the new style container faired better than the lettuce in the old style container and the regular air tight container actually performed almost as well as the new style container. I would say the new style container won the lettuce round. For the berries after 1 week, I found that the old style container performed much better than both the new style container and the store berry container. You can see the change in colour (more pink) of the berries in the latter two containers. I found that the store container berries were soft after 1 week, and the berries in the new style container were just starting to get soft. However, the berries in the old style container were firm, kept their original colour, and tasted just as fresh as the day they were purchased when I tried them 2 weeks later! The old style container is the clear winner for the berry round.Let me say that I have always been a Rubbermaid fan. Based on the results I got, if I didn't already have the old style containers, I probably would have reordered the new style just to keep my lettuce fresh. However, since I didn't see that much of a difference between my old style set and the new style set, I decided to return the set rather than get a replacement. For berries though, I prefer the old style container with the crisp tray. Another factor that led me to to decide against reordering a replacement set is that I purchased my 6 piece old style set for half the cost of this 8 piece set. For the price difference, I really expected much better performance, so unfortunately, I found that the value just wasn't there in this set, especially since the removable crisp tray is no longer included. To make the new style better, I hope Rubbermaid brings back the removable crisp tray but also keeps the bumps on the bottom of the container so that we have the option of using the containers with or without the removable crisp tray, depending on what we are storing. Overall, I recommend the new style of FreshWorks containers for lettuce and the old style containers with the removable crisp tray for berries.

Not great for spinach
Lettuce seems ok in this but I found spinach which is what i bought it for does not keep well in fact it sits in water in the bottom from it. I still prefer a container with a grid at the bottom as opposed to bubbles effect bottom. At least a tray it sits above the water that it accumulates like my old tuppaware one. I will probably go back to that company since i was always happy with them. This will have to do for now

Not the same as Original Freshworks Containers
Received the Containers todayCould not separate the 2 containers so am returning them immediatelyThe containers are a less expensive version of the Original(the clear grid is built into container)The originals have a removable green gridNow I understand why the price for the 2 containers was so much cheaperThe Originals are amazing containers & I always have them filled w fruit in the fridgeIf you plan to buy them make sure they have the green removable grid

Decepcionada...
