These nets are absolutely adorable. The brightness of the colors, the size and the pattern is an instant hit with children. From a functional standpoint it is actually quite sturdy and withstands even “rock catching,” a general passion of my 2 year old. For actual bugs and butterflies, I love how deep the net is and wide the opening is. We’ve had other nets before which are fine, but this is my personal favorite. In fact, I’m already anticipating this to be the coveted summer item when friends come to play so may have to order more! My 4 and 2 year old daughters could not be more thrilled with this product. We have many butterfly quests in our future.

Good quality

After 2 months of minimal use the stick broke off of the net. I paid $8 for this! I expect better quality especially from Melissa and Doug!

Melissa and Doug make the best toys. This is durable but not heavy and bulky. Perfect for my 4-year old, and Daddy even caught a couple butterflies.

Very effective and very sturdy and cute looking! Worked well for moth and butterfly hunts!Outlasted some not so gentle handling by 4 year old so props for durability!

Very pleased with the quality of the net. The net is nice and thick and the handle is nice and sturdy. Plus it’s pink and girly, perfect for my 6 yo daughter :)
