AN OK VIOLET PLANTER
Got these because you can not find the ceramic violet planters that are 10-15 years old. These are OK - put the starter violet leaf in and husband filled it with water as it said to do. I kept my eye on them (bought an aqua and white one) and I could tell that they were going to drown the leaf. So poured the water out and took it out of the outside pot to get it dried out. Not a real fan but this was the best I could find to grow the violet plants. I now just water from the top - otherwise I think the plant will drown.UPDATE: I have had a leaf in the pots ( have 2) for 2 months with no activity. They have not died but they have not produced a new violet plant ( cluster of leaves). So I'm not very happy with these pots as violet pots. Bit the bullet and ordered ceramic violet pots from eBay and am hoping I get some new violet plants. My husband will use these we bought for other plants.

Instructions impossible to read!
Couldn’t read instructions. And no flower pot should have unidentifiable parts. Good looking item though.

Good value for the price
I can’t even get out that drainage cartridge to remove plastic wrap 😬 Spent 10 min trying to unwrap the pots. May be you should go a little bit easy on wrapping!

Breathable Pots - Great Features We Don't Always Consider
I used this pot to replant an orchid that is root bound. It was so root-bound, it grew a baby up a flower stem and the baby grew roots and and it's own flower stem. I separated the baby orchid from the mother plant and put each in their own pot. I chose the "translucent" white/clear pots because I want to see the roots through the sides of the pot to know when it's getting tight in there. There is an "inner" pot that holds the plant and potting soil. It comes out for watering purposes. You can leave it in the sink and let it drain. Then put it back into the sister pot. The space between the two creates a little humidity, which orchids love, so it's just perfect. I highly recommend this pot for orchids or any other plant. It comes in lots of colors, so it's sure to please everyone.

Everything I expected
I’m pretty pleased with this planter. When I opened up the planter I saw a plastic packet of gravel at the bottom. I was a little confused at first, since the listing clearly states it does not come with gravel. And there are no further instructions after that point. I saw similar reviews facing the same dilemma so I figured maybe they’re going to start including gravel? It added a level of convenience... but the confusion continued. I was aware I would need to fill the bottom inch with gravel, but since mine came with some I wasn’t sure to leave in the plastic or not. I opted to dump it out (PICTURED).On another note, I’ve seen a lot of negative feedback regarding the self watering feature and I do not see what all the fuss is about so I wanted to add my input...The listing clearly states to water the plant and it will drain into the self watering reseviour.... or you could just lift the inner pot out and fill up the resevior with enough finger strength. It’s not super easy, but it’s definitly doable. The listing also clearly states wether or not your specific planner (size & color) comes with a clear, little window when selecting your planter. Mine did and the water level is easily visible (PICTURED). I would double check before ordering if this is a major concern for you.I purchased this planter because it was light-weight and self-watering. I have a Pathos plant up high and didn’t want to worry about the hassle of taking it down to water it. Looks great and definitely gets the job done.

nice but inconsistent appearance and features depending on the color of planter
I purchased a Jade colored flower pot and a Cream colored pot, and while the shape on both is the same, the features aren't. They're supposed to both have a little window that lets you know how much water is in the reservoir, but only the Jade planter did. Also, the Jade planter has a slightly different inside shape and came with a plastic insert with what appeared to be tiny bits of terra cotta planters inside, but I removed that and used rocks just as I did with the Cream colored planter, which didn't come with an insert. The planter is really two pieces, and I was easily able to get them apart by gently squeezing right at the seam between the two pieces at the top of the planter. The pieces fit together well.I put about 1 cup of small rocks in the bottom and dirt on top of that then planted my dracaena and snake plants (one per pot) as usual. I was able to add 16 oz of water to the Jade colored planter before the reservoir window showed it was basically full, so I put the same amount in the Cream planter. After two days, the clear window shows half that water is gone, which I expected since the dirt was dry when I first watered it.The size was perfect for a ledge between our kitchen and living room, which was only 5 inches wide, and the bases of these fit extremely well. The shape is also pleasing and looks classic without being dull.

Nice but not sturdy
The root of the plant broke the pot from the inside….

Wish it had a water level window
Newer versions of this planter have a small window so can see how much water is in the reservoir. Unfortunately the ones available in Canada do not. This means there is no way to know when to add water, or how much to add. This makes the self-watering feature hard to use properly, which is why I deducted 1 star. It's possible to lift the inner pot out of the outer pot to check how much water is in the bottom, but this is difficult and clumsy, so not practical to do on a regular basis.Other than this, it is a good pot, with a decent size reservoir in the bottom. The pot plastic is thin, but the fit and finish is very good. I hope to get many years use from it.

But the pot itself looks nice and is a pretty colour
Slightly confusing instructions, had to go online to work out what I was meant to do. But the pot itself looks nice and is a pretty colour. My money tree on my desk is very happy with this!

Very nice plant pot
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the colour of the actual pot is very close to what is pictured on the website. Very nice plant pot.
