The characters are wonderful and the world building is enchanting and charming. You grow yo truly love Duane and his arctic friends as the story goes on. The illustrations are absolutely precious and add so much to the story telling. The kids get so excited when we get to a page with a picture and get so excited tonsee what the characters look like. Every year I even have a few kids that cry when we read the last chapter. We just started our yearly read through and I even find myself still laughing at some of the jokes and getting excited because we are meeting certain characters and getting to certain parts of this book.
