PUT ME DOWN FOR STUPID..
READ THE FOLLOWING REVIEW AND PUT ME DOWN FOR STUPID. I THOUGHT THE GAS LINE WAS TOO SHORT TO REACH GAS IN THE TANK BUT ON CLOSER INSPECTION THE SHORT LINE IS JUST A BREATHER-HOSE OR SOMETHING. THE ACTUAL GAS LINE COILS AROUND AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TANK AND AT FIRST LOOKS LIKE A LOOP WITH NO OPENING.HOWEVER IF EARTHQUAKE AT LEAST HAD A MESSEGE SYSTEM ON THE PHONE LINE, THEY GIVE IN THE MANUAL, INSTEAD OF A LOUD ANNOYING BEEP AFTER RINGING FOREVER, I WOULD HAVE HAD MORE FAITH IN THE COMPANY, WOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN TOTALLY PISSED, AND WOULDN'T HAVE LEFT THE FOLLOWING ERRONEOUS REVIEW. SO REGARD THE "ONE STAR" AS EARTHQUAKE'S POSSIBLE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE SIMILAR TO AMAZON'S "NO HUMAN EVER AVAILABLE."ZERO STARS FOR THIS TILLER! I BACK-PACKED THE DAMN THING TO MY HOMESTEAD IN THE ALASKA BUSH. THERE I REALLY NEEDED IT'S HELP IN ELIMINATING KNEE-HIGH (AND GROWING FAST) GRASS KILLING A HUGE RHUBARB PATCH. (OTHER YEARS I'VE DONE IT, AND A BIG GARDEN, WITH A SHOVEL-- BUT THAT TAKES DAYS ON END.)HOPING THE TILLER WOULD SAVE ME MUCH NEEDED TIME, I GOT IT ALL PUT TOGETHER AND FILLED WITH OIL.NEXT CAME FILLING THE GAS TANK-- BUT UPON OPENING THE GAS CAP I FOUND THE INTAKE FUEL LINE IS SO SHORT IT ONLY GOES 1/4 WAY DOWN INTO THE TANK.IS THIS SOME NEW WEIRD TECH--NOT THAT I CAN FIGURE, AND SURE ENOUGH THE MANUAL GIVES REASONS FOR "WON'T START--- FUEL HOSE NOT POSITIONED IN BOTTOM OF GAS TANK."I TRIED CALLING EARTHQUAKE 800-345-6007 IN WISCONSIN AS LISTED IN THEIR MANUAL. "RING, RING," ON AND ON UNTIL A LOUD BEEPING NOISE TAKES OVER.SO WHILE THE INDIGENIOUS ALASKA GRASS CONTINUES TO KILL OFF MY RHUBARB IT'S BACK TO THE WAR WITH A DECENT TOOL--- A SHOVEL. THANKS AMAZON FOR BUYING A LOAD OF THESE DEFECTIVE TILLERS TO HOIST OFF ON YOUR CUSTOMERS!ALSO, ACCORDING TO THE MANUAL, THERE IS NO FUEL LINE OFFERED AS A PART-- ONLY A WHOLE GAS TANK WITH GAS LINES. THAT MEANS IF AND WHEN THE GAS TANK ARRIVES FROM WISCONSIN TO ALASKA (END JULY?) I'LL HAVE TO SPEND TWO DAYS HIKING INTO TOWN AND BACK THEN START TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE WHOLE DAMN TANK AND UNHOOK AND RE-HOOK A MAZE OF FUEL-LINES--- ALL WHILE THE GRASS REACHES WAIST HIGH.OF COURSE IF AND WHEN THE TILLER STARTS AND RUNS THERE IS NOT MUCH STOPPING SOME OTHER PART BEING DEFECTIVE. I MEAN IF A COMPANY IS TOO STUPID TO INSTALL A LONG ENOUGH FUEL-HOSE WHAT ELSE CAN WE EXPECT?

Nice little addition to the shed.
Professional turf guy here.I ordered this machine to use with the detaching attachment. I was really impressed by it. Lots of power, easy enough to use, and I was able to thatch 9,000 square feet of lawn 2 directions in a day (including cleanup).Definitely a workout, and not recommended for anyone without a little muscle or used to this kind of ground engaging equipment.I’ve used it to turn my mulch beds too. It works really for that. It’s not ideal for tilling virgin ground or anything covered it grass, but it will get the job done.My only complaint, after using this machine for a few days, I stored it in my shed for a few weeks. When I went to start it the next time, the engine cylinder had filled with oil and locked up. I had to remove the spark plug, drain the oil, refill the oil, and then I could start it. Since then I store the machine standing up to avoid this. Not sure if this is by design, or a sign of premature wear. Time will tell.

Mini Cultivator
Pros; Easy to assembly and starts easy. 4 cycle engine so no mixing oil with gas. Fairly light, making it easy to handle and maneuver.Cons; Cannot check oil in upright position, you must lean it forward on the gas tank. Not enough power to keep tines turning in heavy grass. Tines also clog up easy with grass aiding in the problem with the tines not turning. In a garden and between rows where only light weeds is what you are going to use this for may work fine. For my use around trees and shrubbery it is not doing the job for me. I will be returning it for a refund.***Update*** I used the online form to contact the company. They emailed me back and offered to repair it under warranty. Being concerned that if after repair it was not better that my window to return it to Amazon would be closed. I called Amazon CS and was offered a replacement and to pick up the original. I will see if the replacement works better and then update my review again. This mini cultivator has the potential to be a very useful garden tool. But if all it will do is turn loose dirt and quits turning the tines when it hits grass it is of no use to me.
