Great for all types of projects - amazing cost for product.
Upgraded from an alternative brand's battery powered saw. The Skil Saw is always consistent with power output and cut accuracy. Highly recommend for beginner to advanced projects. While saw has some weight to it, it's easy to maneuver and handle, and gives confidence in each cut. Solid quality feel to saw and know that this will be a durable and reliable saw for years to come. I have yet to try different blades on it, nevertheless, expecting to be a good saw overall.

Great Saw for Homeowner or Occasional Professional Use
For home owner use, or for occasional professional use this tool is terrific. Plenty of torque. The laser guide is very, very useful. Easy blade changes with the included tool. There is a storage bag which is, again, good for occasional use, but not for loading on and off your truck every day.

Great value…
Excellent value. Great saw, cuts wood, as it should. I swapped out the blade for a finishing blade. Easy switch. I’m happy with this saw.

Well built
Saw works great. Very stable when cutting. The laser can be very useful on longer cuts. Not too heavy very manageable when doing multiple cuts.

Well built saw at a great price
For the price point outstanding circular saw. Used it extensively in a recent remodel, even cutting concrete pawers (with the right type of blade) without any problems. Well built with plenty of power. Highly recommend.

Works as intended. Great power. Watch for tearout on top of workpiece.
I have a DeWalt 18+ battery operated circular saw. It works fine but when working with sheet goods I wanted something with a stable power source AND a larger blade. A/C was the way to go. Had a little problem yesterday, my fault. I was cutting 1/2 inch sheet for trays in my sanding cart. It was supported by 2/4's ON TOP OF MY WEN MITER SAW STAND. The included blade cut a notch right through one of the tubes before I realized that I didn't adjust the depth of cut. I'm only sharing this because it cut through that aluminum tube like butter.Even before that I did notice some tearout on top of the plywood. This is pretty common and normal. the blade goes counter-clockwise from under the board. I will be adding a 1/2 inch zero clearance plate to the shoe of the saw then by lowering the blade through it will prevent the tearout. Some people use blue tape on the board being cut but I find that to be a waste and the tape removal can do the same thing unless slowly removed at an angle to the grain. This was the CHEAPEST circular saw on AMAZON. YEAH I shopped for price. It is actually exactly like the Craftsman saw I bought in the 80's. Except that one came with a case. You don't need a more expensive saw. Don't shop by brand. This one has all of the features that all of the others have. I did buy a 7" diamond blade for it for STEEL. That blade is not good with aluminum but this one is. Just check the teeth for bits of aluminum stuck to the sides of the teeth before using it for wood. This is more tips than a review. Because the saw works fine. I am a hobby person. Retired. So I will replicate my old Craftsman case to store it in when not being used and to store the alternate blade. Take care of this saw like you bought the most expensive one on the market and it will last for years to come.
