This season is like the anti-Power Rangers season. Great acting, great writing, and most of all it tones down the cheesiness and camp to that plagues most seasons. Believe me, this season is deadly serious and the most mature PR season to date. It feels like a good science fiction drama with Power Rangers. If I could describe it, it feels a lot like the late 1990s Outer Limits TV show. The cast is fantastic in this season. Jason Faunt as Wes is one of the best Red Rangers ever. Erin Cahill is not only the best Pink Ranger ever, she might be the best actor/actress the show has ever seen. Daniel Southworth as the loner Quantum Ranger is fantastic as well. The remaining Rangers (Blue, Yelloe, Green) are not as focused on and do not get the limelight as much, but do get their own episodes. Without question, this season features not one but two alltime great villains in Ransik and Frax. Both of their character developments and backstories are very dark, especially Frax whose origin seems like something out of a horror movie. Kate Sheldon as Nadira also goes through an amazing transformation. I admit, I saw Timeranger first and as a whole prefer Super Sentai as a whole. However, after a recent viewing of Timeforce I might like it as much as Timeranger. That is saying a lot, as Timeranger is one of my favorite Sentai seasons. Timeforce is so good that it feels like a dark, dramatic Sentai series. Can't remember who long it has been but had the pleasure of watching some of the other Power Rangers Series including Time Force and fell in love with this series.
