Hawaii Maui Pancake Co. Banana Macadamia Nut Pancake Mix

I bought this to replace a Hawaiian pancake mix (Mulvadi) that we always enjoyed but can't find anymore. This one, which was "banana macadamia nut" was completely devoid of flavor. Good thing I ordered a small bag to try.

These are tasty, though not a strong banana flavor.Instead of 3/4 cup water, I use 1/2 cup coconut milk with 1/4 cup water and am generous with the butter in the pan. We used to buy the big cans of the Kona Coast Macadamia Nut, but Amazon doesn't carry that brand anymore. This one is a lot the same.We're not big on waffles and pancakes, but I'd gotten in the habit of making pancakes every now and then when my kid was little. That preschooler is now a teen, so it's not as much a treat but in a way more fun and more appreciated. It'll make enough pancakes for 4 or 5 people.

I first fell in love with Maui Pancake Co Banana Macadamia Nut Pancake Mix when I visited the Whole Foods in Kailua.The mix is easy to use and makes light, tender, flavorful cakes that go great with passionfruit jelly and a tall glass of POG(pineapple orange guava juice). This seller shipped item lightning fast, very secured packaged, and included a note with signatures and cute pineapple/turtle/island stamps. What's not to like?

I like the taste, only if would contain some macadamia nuts pieces.

I use this for both pancakes and waffles. Especially good for waffles.
