Works just like they should
Had an electrical issue with car and was having to wiggle the battery cable about every other time I went to start it and I lost count how many times the hood hit me in the head. Got these and they have just the right amount of tension to keep it up but not for it to fly up and take you out. This is a thing. I got the struts replaced on my back lift gate last year and it hit my nephew right in the face who wasn't expecting it to fly up so fast.
