This silver gel is wonderful can and should be used with any wound, scratch, sore of any kind. Besides the obvious difference of having Aloe added to it, the Silver Gel with Aloe is also pH Balanced and less potent at 30ppm; whereas, this Extra Strength Silver gel contains 35ppm of silver. Even though its pH is more acidic (around 5-6), it is better suited for wounds, topical applications on more acidic areas of the body, and is used by many including estheticians as a facial and cleanser used in conjunction with a beauty regimen to help with acne causing bacteria among other uses. If it is very deep and you can't clean it thoroughly then it may not get down in there good enough. I clean my wounds with colloidal silver liquid first to flush them out, dry them and then put the gel on, cover it with a sterile abd or gauze pad and secure it in place twice a day. I am allergic to most topical antibiotics so this is best for me. If you have an infection in yours, see a doctor first. I really like this gel for all kinds of wounds and skin problems.
