It's delicious!

I am not a gourmand nor an expert.I made a batch, tossed it in a wafflemaker a flip one.Made Waffle Falafel.Slightly salty and I am not certain if that is normal for the food or not.

Overall a very good mix and ingredients well made.Just a recommendation, being a Lebanese and have spices on hand, I added 1tsp of cumin and 1/2 tsp of 7 spices and made it even much better to my taste.

These aren't quite as good as the ones I get at a Mediterranean restaurant (rarely because it's not nearby), but I've only made them once and need to get better, too. One suggestion: if only making 1/2 the package, weigh the contents to be sure you're using/leaving 8 oz. I used a measuring cup and didn't know whether to pack it (didn't) so it was still soupy after an hour. So I pulled out more contents until the remainder weighed 8 ounces and let it sit for another 30 minutes and it was thicker. I also chose to drop them from a cookie scoop then pat them out to look more like a sausage slice. Next I might add some olive oil as part of the liquid. They were good enough to buy again and tinker with the directions. And they are a way for me to eat chickpeas which I really don't like unless in falafel or hummus, so that's a point in their favor. Try them and see what YOU think.

This is a very high quality product. We have purchased it multiple times and definitely recommend. We often make hamburgers with either turkey or beef and add it in for a delicious flavor!

I have been making falafel since 1977. I found out I have celiac's disease and MISS tabouleh and Falafel, this is ONE of the cleanest versions of a falafel mix out there and it tastes great. It's a bit pricey, but that's how it goes especially if you have health issues!

When Trader Joe's stopped selling falafel mix, I did the research to find out that an identical product was produced by Tarazi. Although it costs triple the Trader Joe's price, it is such an excellent falafel mix that I've been willing to pay the high price they charge. But I have been very disappointed by the fact that they ship the box in a paper sack that has resulted in the box being crushed and opened on my last 3 orders, with the inner cellophane package of falafel mix floating free in the sack. Fortunately, those inner packages have so far not burst while in transit but could easily do so. It seems that for the price charged, the product could be shipped in a more secure packaging.
