I was worried the parts would be flimsy after reading other reviews but they were not. They were more than adequate for the purposes of the kit and superior to what we received from his online virtual school for their unit on electricity. The text in the booklet is spare but an advantage to this is that my son worked through the kit all on his own (which hadn't been my original intention but he couldn't wait for me to go on to the next experiment). His work with this kit really firmed up his understanding of electricity and key vocabulary terms. He is now using parts from the kit to work on other experiments he's found in books from the library, again all on his own initiative. My only complaint is that the first time, one of the bulbs was used, it burned out. I am trying to figure out how to return or get a replacement bulb.
