Where There Is No Dentist Paperback – January 1, 2021

This book freaks out my wife. It's very thorough and helpful. Still looking for how to replace teeth with one long curvy tooth, no gaps. It's good to have but I hope I never have to use the info in this book.5 star, would and do recommend.

I was looking to expand my library of self sufficient type books. Really I accidentally ordered this one when ordering the doctor one. I haven't really read it, but took some time to thumb through, look it over pretty closely and read a few excerpts that interested me. Enough, at least, to decide it's a keep rather than a return. It has alot of great information that would be helpful along with some pretty decent illustrations. Really for anyone building their one library it's a great addition.

Very interesting and educational book

This book is frequently recommended by "Preppers" as a good resource tohave in one's library. The day may come when a person just flat doesnot have the money to pay a dentist or has no access to one. This book givesthorough instruction on the basics of taking care of your teeth and helpful hints on what canbe done to treat dental problems.This book was designed originally for use by international health careworkers, missionaries, etc. Part One is : Learning and teaching aboutteeth and gums. Part Two is: Treating Dental Problems. The chaptersin this section are: Examination and Diagnosis; Treating some commonproblems:; Scaling teeth; Injecting inside the mouth; Cement fillings; andTaking out a tooth.The Reference pages include: The Dental Kit (Medicines, Instruments, andSupplies); Records, reports and surveys: Story telling (about dental care forpregnant women); Dental Health Teaching Materials; Vocabulary; and Index.The book is prolifically illustrated in black and white drawings which arevery helpful.All in all, I believe it is thorough enough, and explained simply enough foranyone to be able to deal with emergency dental care in a situation whereone has no access to a certified dentist, such as when SHTF. I am relievedto have it as a reference book for just such a possible scenario.

I purchased this book as a just in case type thing, during the pandemic. It has a lot of valuable information that would be helpful if you experience any dental problems and can not visit a dentist. It is interesting just to read and adds more knowledge to my brain, which is always a good thing. I definitely recommend to anyone who may be interested in dentistry or those who may be like me and would just like to have it on hand, just in case.

Full of great information that can help in the mission field.
