Review: I'm a fan of this fan. - Very impressive exhaust fan. Speed is adjustable and surprisingly powerful. I'm using it on a wall behind my bench grinders to expel dust created by the grinders. Works perfectly for my application.
Review: Wow. I am super impressed. And I have it working with Alexa. - We bought a 10x12 shed for our backyard earlier this year. I plan on storing electronics (inventory) for my business in it so I wanted to keep it as cool as possible during the summer months. My favorite feature is the memory function. When the fan is unplugged and then plugged back in, it "remembers" the speed setting. I combined this with a smart outlet and an desertcart Echo device with a temperature sensor and created an Alexa routine so when the shed temp exceeds 85° F, the outlet is powered on and the fan resumes the same speed it was before being powered off. When the temp drops to below 85°, the fan power is cut off and the fan stops. I had to reframe the vent hole, but it works awesome and is SUPER QUIET. I could have spent more for the thermostatically controlled unit, but I already had a spare Echo and smart plugs laying around so I opted for the less expensive unit. I'd buy one again in a heartbeat should I ever need another exhaust fan.

**Q: Can the fan be operated manually?**
A: If, by "manually", you mean directly from the fan itself, then no. However, there is an option to manually control the speed using the included controller rather than (or in addition to) the temperature and humidity triggers. Also worth noting that plugging the fan in without the controller connected will turn the fan on to the previously set speed.

**Q: Does this fan come apart so a screen can be installed on the outside behind the outer shutters? I want to prevent bugs from getting in. Thank you**
A: Yes. The fan and motor are mounted to the shutters with four small bolts. You can remove the fan from the shutters and reattach it after you install the screen.

**Q: Will this fan seal tight for cold weather, and do they make a hood to fit the fan.**
A: No, it doesn't seal very tightly. I made a cover out of foam that I place on the outside when not in use to keep cold air out (and water and bugs). I am happy with my purchase. The fan works well to vent my workshop. I did have to build a box around it as the sides are not deep enough for my 2x4 framed walls plus drywall and siding.

**Q: Where can I purchase a second fan to connect to the controller?**
A: Apparently they don’t sell just the fan. You’d need to buy another set and just use the fan part.
