## Description

Balun One Nine v2 is a very small 9:1 balun meant for attaching long wire and dipole HF antennas to your HF capable SDR, radio or Ham It Up upconverter. It has an SMA output port and 3 different terminal block input options (all included) for your antenna coax. Balun One Nine includes an AntennaGuard varistor on the input, protecting your SDR setup from spurious ESD. The ESD protection is excellent--it passes IEC61000-4-2, an 8kV contact discharge test, with a response time of just 300ps. At 38mm x 25.0mm in total size, this balun is a bit larger than our popular Balun One Nine v1, but also has better HF performance and can be used to even lower frequencies. For more details, please see the Downloads tab on the product page. It was designed to be light in weight and light on your wallet. Very low insertion loss with a maximum input power of +24dBm. Designed primarily for HF amateur bands, but specifications are accurate to frequencies up to 80MHz+. This is the retail version, which comes assembled into a custom aluminum enclosure and includes 3 antenna connector adapters and a free male SMA to male SMA barrel connector!

**Q: Should there be continuity when checking the wire connectors on the one side of the balun to the sma plug? i have no continuity thru the balun.**
A: No continuity. This device is RF sensitive so won’t show anything. Be sure the ground wire is on the right side with the sma pointing forward.mine works fine on random wire 75ft long.

**Q: For we oldies which is gnd Very Specifically**
A: the ground is on the right side of the green terminals.  if you lay it flat with the words up the terminal at the top of the letters is ground

**Q: Of the two screw terminals for an antenna one is ground? Whis is which? There not labeled.**
A: When looking at the Balun One Nine logo with the green connector pointing to the left, the bottom terminal is ground. Thank you for your interest!

**Q: Have the nooelec balun one nine v2 on a longwire and eton 750. i works well. do you sell a power amp that would work my this config for more stations?**

I used this balun as an unun for my random length (I chose 119 feet based on my research) long wire antenna and my Eton Elite 750 shortwave receiver. I compared it to the telescoping unit antenna on several bands and the long wire antenna through the Balun One Nine V2 had superior reception every time. It also was better on FM reception. I was cautioned that this is for receiving only and the Balun One Nine V2 CANNOT be used for transmitting, if you're a HAM looking at it for that purpose. I'm very satisfied and glad that I didn't choose one of the many balun kits available online. I just attached it to my antenna wire, ground wire, and coax on the other side and I was on my way. I used a LeMotech ABS Plastic Dustproof Waterproof IP65 Junction Box (5.9" x 5.9" x 2.8"), available on Amazon, to put the balun into for weatherproofing. Search the questions on this product for a good description on which lug is ground. Again, it works really well.
