Replaced vs resurfacing front brake rotors
After a hard emergency stop, a friend noticed a shudder in both his brake pedal and steering wheel when making a normal braking action at 55-60 mph. Clearly a warped brake rotor. Decided to do the brake rotors and pads at the same time. The Factory rotors were the heavy duty option due to his factory towing package. These replacement rotors are for HD service (Taxi, Police, towing) and are ventilated to prevent warping under hard braking. The factory rotors are definitely Heavy Duty at least in weight (and likely high carbon steel) but so are these ventilated versions. And they are about $40 less expensive (each). Can be confusing to order but these worked perfectly on the HD brake option (14"/352mm) front rotors. Easy install and come packaged in rust-preventative paper vs petroleum coating that has to be cleaned off at installation. Just unwrapped these and install. Hardest part was removing the torx-headed T27 rotor retaining screw. Used an impact driver and a 2 1/2 lb hammer and finally got it out. Previous repair shop had put RED loctite on the screw threads. The screw can not come loose (under the wheel flange) so I put on anti-seize to make the NEXT rotor swap easier. You won't go wrong with these Ford OEM rotors.

DO NOT BUY
My last review was pulled down because someone didn't like it. I have a Platinum Explorer these are two pieces that are welded togther and cause a vibration. Had to go to a solid one piece, look at Centric.

Correct fit, beware of multiple variations.
To be clear, this is the FRONT rotor for a 2016 Ford Explorer with heavy duty brakes. Perfect fit for THAT application. Beware there are many variations on that particular model of vehicle. Even with the VIN I got the wrong parts and had to reorder.
