I bought these to go on my front step. I live in a ranch style house so didn’t want anything too big. I did need to buy pots separately to put them in. This wasn’t an issue since I knew that ahead of time. They’re very nice.The reason I only gave 4 stars is because they are not on a timer. Since they run on batteries I need to remember shut them off before bed. All my other lights that are battery operated have a timer. Wish this did too. I have no roof over my front step so if it’s raining or really cold I don’t put the lights on.

These arrived where you had to fluff out the branches (I expected that). No problem there. However, the lights were wrapped so tightly around one of the trees that I had to fully unwrap the lights just to fluff out the branches. In doing that, I did pull out a couple of small branches that apparently were not wired tightly enough. (Believe me, I unwrapped the lights as gently as possible, but two of the branches still came off.) The lights did work as they were supposed to. I purchased these to put on my mother's grave for Christmas. The trees needed more decoration, so I glued some small red and white Poinsettias into the trees along with a couple of clip in cardinal birds and some red and white bows. It turned out really pretty. They worked out nicely for what I needed them for, and, thankfully, I was able to bend the prong stand in just a tiny bit so that they perfectly fit in the vases of my mother's headstone.

I purchased the same trees three years ago and I love them because they’re very attractive and they come on automatically at the same time every night after the first time you turn them on manually and then they shut off automatically I think six hours later. These two new ones however have to be turned on and off manually what a pain! I was very disappointed that this was not clear to me in the description.I have six of these total which I put in some big flower pots that line the sidewalk out front of my house, they look beautiful & I added some glass ornaments to the pots Just wish the two new ones were on auto!!

I wanted to leave a review, because the reviews I read were pretty mixed. I like these and so far and I am happy with my purchase. I have only had them for a few hours. They are a mix of cheaper artificial tree and more expensive branches. I like all of decorations on the tree. Just by pulling the branches down into place, I broke some of the berries off so you do have to handle with a bit of care. If you aren't looking for the most high end decor that costs an arm and a leg, these are a great choice. I am not the best at fluffing artificial branches so someone else might make them look better too.

When these arrived 2 days ahead of schedule I couldn't wait to put them out. They are not spectacular but nice. Out of the box, fluff them a bit (easy on the decorations) install three AA batteries and viola! There are 8 different light settings to choose from, also. We placed them at the end of the driveway (one on each side) and they are pretty cool. If you're looking for something to decorate the yard without a lot of "Splash" these will do it.

Dislike because only one of the trees worked the other was defected

Lights turn off by themselves. Multiple times each day I have to go out and reset them. Brand new batteries do not help. I finally figured out that if I open and reclose the battery pack they will turn back on. Then they stay on for awhile and turn off by themselves again and I have to do it again. And again. And again. This is not making me feel jolly at all.
