you need 1/2 compression, otherwise works great. note the length of the threaded part may be an issue, so check your counter thickness. we have 1.25" thick granite and was a pain to install, as it's just 1/2" too short. I ended up cutting off corner of the plastic nut, turning upside down, taking off the 3/8 thick base, then had enough to securely attach the 1/2 supply line. they really should provide an extension or just make the thread 1/2" longer.

Seems like a quality unit. Been using it for close to six-months with no issues. Good finish and does not feel cheap.

I had to return this item because the threaded section is too short; after installing it on my countertop there was only about a 1/4-inch left to connect the water line. I couldn't install my water line to the faucet because there wasn't enough threads for me to connect it to. The faucet itself seems to be well-made though.

This is a very nice faucet I have bought many.
