Looks like a good reel
This is an early review, as I haven’t used the reel beyond loading it to practice casting. It is solidly made and reels the line in nicely. I bought a similar reel on the cheap from Temu and although it was the proper line weight the line was spooled for a left handed retrieve, so now I have to pay it out and reload that one. MaxCatch got my reel loaded correctly.

Very nice...
I've purchased a few of these. Different sizes. Different colors. Each one is a bargain. AND these are available with the appropriate line weight! After all, the only job a reel has is to hold line...These are great for that purpose. Don't spend $800.00 on a fly reel. Buy these.

Not a $200 reel, but...
Considering the price...killer product. Others have mentioned the main flaw. The space between reel an the reel cage will allow the line to slip or get jammed between them occasionally. Not often enough to rule this reel out. I fixed the problem by building up the reel case/frame with metal epoxy and shaping it to close the tolerance. No issues now.The drag settings are very course. Pretty much little drag or a lot of drag with slight adjustments. My opinion, drag is over rated on fly reels. If you can dial in a setting you like, you're good. And you can with this reel.Great starter reel or backup.Update: was contacted by customer service. They felt that the reel was defective + it has a 1 yr warranty. They sent me a replacement within a few weeks. It's a much better reel. The spacing between the spool and cage is much tighter. The spool fit on the bearing shaft, is quite a bit better. I've beat the hell out of the first one and it just keeps working. QC might not be as good as one might like, but when this reel is right...it's a pleasure to fish with. Hats off to customer service. I'd check with them before you post a review. They are very helpful.

7/8 pre spooled - Silver
When receiving the reel I noticed that it did not come in a bag, or even bubble wrap. The black plastic drag adjustment knob is pretty scuffed up, but this does not affect the function of the reel. I do think that the reel should be better protected in the box though. The finish on the reel (silver) is acceptable, but it does have its rough spots here or there. For the price I can live with it. I may be sanding it down and painting it in the future anyway. Also when removing the spool I noted that there was no grease on the bearings inside of the spool. This was remedied easily with a dab of reel grease, but I think it would be better done in the factory to protect the parts themselves. The drag knob has a nice subtle click to it when increasing or decreasing the drag. The drag does seem to be adjusting well with every click and does not have a sudden jump from minimal drag to max drag. Overall I'm happy with the adjust-ability of the drag on this reel. There is no clicking when reeling in and you can "wing" the spool around freely when reeling it in.Reel was received left hand retrieve and the line looks to have been spooled taught and level. I don't see anywhere weather the line is 7w or 8w, but it seems to be 7w if I had to guess. The pre-installed leader is nail knotted to the fly line. There is no welded loop on the front of the fly line and I have not unspooled the entire line to see if there is a loop on the back. I will be putting some super glue on the nail knot as it doesn't look to be done already.Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and looking forward to taking it out for a field test. Some of the quality issues are to be expected for a reel that was under $40 with line pre spooled, but for the money it is more than good enough to get you out there fishing.

It works for what it is
I’ve mostly used this for nymphing, so I’m not pulling out much line. The drag is a little rough to get right, either too little or way to much, but it does what you need it to do, hold the line for you.
