Unbeatable for the Price - High Quality and Lightweight
This lens is an absolute steal for anyone looking for a versatile telephoto option that doesn’t break the bank.Key Highlights:-Lightweight and Compact: For a 70-300mm telephoto, it’s incredibly portable, making it perfect for outdoor shoots, wildlife photography, or simply carrying around all day without feeling weighed down.-Sharp Image Quality: The image quality is excellent, especially in good lighting conditions. Even at full zoom (300mm), the details remain sharp and clear. I’ve used this lens for wildlife photography, sports, and even some portraits, and it performs beautifully across the board.-Fast and Accurate Autofocus: The autofocus is snappy and reliable, even when tracking moving subjects. Paired with my Sony Alpha, the lens focuses quickly and consistently, whether I’m shooting stills or video.-Great Build Quality: While lightweight, the build quality doesn’t feel cheap. It’s solid and well-designed, with a comfortable grip and smooth zoom ring.-Budget-Friendly: For the price, this lens delivers exceptional value. You’re getting a versatile focal range, great optics, and a lens that’s specifically designed for mirrorless cameras—all without the premium price tag.Things to Note:-Like many telephoto lenses in this price range, it performs best in well-lit conditions. Low-light performance is decent but benefits from some post-processing or the use of a tripod.-It’s not weather-sealed, so be mindful when shooting in extreme conditions.Final Thoughts:If you’re looking for an affordable telephoto zoom lens that’s easy to use, delivers sharp images, and is perfect for mirrorless systems, this lens is a no-brainer. It’s an excellent lens for beginners and enthusiasts alike, offering a great balance of quality, portability, and performance.Highly recommend it for anyone on a budget who doesn’t want to compromise on quality!

Super fun zoom lens!
This Tamron 70-300mm is such a great lens for the price. It’s lightweight, easy to carry around, and gives me awesome reach for shooting wildlife, sports, or just stuff far away. Autofocus is quick and quiet, and the image quality is surprisingly sharp, even at 300mm! I’ve been using it on my Sony A6700 and it’s been a blast. No complaints so far—it’s just a solid, fun lens that doesn’t break the bank.

Great lens for the price and picture quality
This lens is my first 300mm for my Sony Camera gear. It's starting to become my go-to lens, serving me well in wildlife photography and enabling some stunning panoramic shots. The best part? It offers impressive sharpness, lightweight design, great autofocus, full-frame compatibility, and all this at an affordable price. However, it's fair to mention the drawbacks such as no image stabilization and no handy lock switch to prevent lens creep. But these challenges can be managed with a tripod, holding the camera steady, or if your camera supports in-body stabilization. So, should you consider this lens? I think so but that does depend on your needs. The Images I've selected have become my favorites as of now. All the image you see was taken on my Sony zv-e10, which happens to be a cropped sensor camera.----UPDATE Feb 28, 2024----Since my original review, I have purchased a Sony A7iii full-frame camera with in-camera stabilization. Using the Tamron lens with a camera that uses stabilization does make a world of difference. The lens barely shakes even at 300mm unlike when it's on my Sony zv-e10. Now I have noticed that since I'm using the lens in a full-frame sensor I see more of a lens curve in my images. But if you use Adobe Lightroom it can easily correct it. Still highly recommend this lens.——Update July 7th, 2024——Since my last update in February, I can confidently say that this Tamron lens has become my daily driver when using my full-frame camera. Its versatility continues to amaze me, handling everything from fast-moving wildlife to delicate flower photography with ease. For the price, and considering it’s a full-frame lens, it has transformed my photography in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I’ve added some new photos to my review to showcase its capabilities. As mentioned before, you’ll need to use your editing software to enable lens corrections, but this really depends on the image you’re taking. After using this lens for 7 months, I can attest that it’s been a worthwhile investment.

No Optical stabilization
Amazing lens with great picture quality. The 28mm is wide enough to be used for streaming. I gave image stabilization a 1 star because this lens doesn't have optical image stabilization and I knew that when purchasing it. It does have slightly more lens distortion than the sigma 24-70mm f2.8, but that's easy to fix in post. The lower cost and smaller size makes this lens a solid option.

Very good sharpness and colors. Great value at $399
Excellent sharpness and colors and price. The value proposition for this lens is amazing. The only drawback for me is the weight, and not that it is very heavy. It is just heavy for me and when the barrel extends it becomes harder for me to hold steady. I am at the point that I need stabilization on this type of lens for my shooting experience. Your mileage may vary of course in this area, you might not have a problem keeping everything steady. Again though, image quality is very good.
