Carlsons Choke Tubes 12 Gauge for Beretta Optima HP | Stainless Steel | Sporting Clays Choke Tube | Made in USA

I recently purchased a new Beretta A400 Xcel as a back-up gun while I find a Perazzi combo, mostly for trap (16yd, handicap, 30yd games, continental, backers) but also for sporting and 5-stand. My backer buddy gave me this Carlson Extra Full as he didn't use it. Since putting it in my gun, I ran 25/25 at the 16yd and right after a 22/25 at the 27yd against top competition shooters. It was a left quartering 10 mph wind. I out-shot both shooters with this choke. The time before, I shot 9/10 from the 30yd (missing the first one as I almost never shoot that far back). Every shot was with a 1.03oz 7-1/2 shot lost (17.5g Clays) at about 1180-1200fps. I am a senior competition shooter...a good but not great shooter. I would never have thought that shooting an extra full choke would INCREASE my scores (FULL maybe, but not EF). On the patterning board, it resulted in the best 30" pattern I've ever experienced with any choke including Beretta and Mueller (both excellent chokes). Your experience might be different, but this choke IS NOT coming off of my gun. I have proven to myself that if my scores diminish at any time, it is my fundamentals that are slipping, not the choke! This choke has given me more confidence in my shooting than any other. I highly recommend the Carlson EF choke for ANY competition shogun shooting. Amazing choke!
