AWESOME book
I have never left a review before, but I had to for this one. This book was one of the best, if not the best. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

WOW
Nako has done it again with a book that will have you in your feelings, emotionally drained and reflecting on how to do things better in your own life. Very well written and great character development. Kenya definitely had her flaws but it didnt help that her family was all about perfection, image perception and failure was not an option. She was so lost in what others would think and pleasing those she came in contact with that she began to mask the real Kenya. I was really rooting for Kenya and Elijah to work on getting back together but Kenya needed to work on herself first. We sometimes tend to get so wrapped up in other things that we tend to lose focus on ourselves which can lead to a downward spiral of self destruction. What this book has taught me is to love yourself and if things get too rough, there is nothing wrong with seeking counseling. I really enjoyed this book. Excellent job Nako.

Me, Myself and Love
Kenya Schumere was beautiful, came from old money and felt soo isolated from her mother. There was no love. Only from her aunt Yvette whom she was named after with her middle name. Kenya is bound to follow in the footsteps of her family as the Schumere’s are prestigious, polite, rich and never fail. After studying abroad in Spain Kenya returns home to do what she wants to and that is to write. Abruptly her life is snatched back into reality when Papa Logan tells her she will do what she is destined to do for the family. In NYC Kenya is working at one of her families publishing companies and hanging with her Co Jain Dana. She meets Elijah one night and with all of her naivety she still believes he will be hers. Dating and getting to know each other turns into a beautiful move to DC where Kenya is forced to go and Elijah gets into some trouble so he comes with her. For literally the next 10yrs Elijah and Kenya make a life, have a child, lose a child and discover their lives are slowly drifting apart. Kenya is the face of Good Morning America and she needs help! She was drowning in liquor, lies from herself and family and and then theirs the truth Kenya will seek help from recommended therapist Dr Mighty-Moore. Famous Nia Hudson recommends Kenya and a new relationship is built. Kenya needs to love, smile, have friends and remove herself from isolation. Through Dr Mighty-Moore Kenya and the Doctor will go on a journey that is really unforgettable. Kenya is broken in soo many ways. She is now engaged to a famous basketball and the son to her agent, Tammi. Mental abuse is just as worse as physical abuse and between the fiancé, her mother, worrying about her aunt Yvette and the story she will weave Kenya will have you still trying to figure her out for a long time but we will. Nakoreya takes us on a true definition of understanding and learning your truth and with clear concise prayers that I needed. Kenya Yvette will rise out the ashes but this is a hell of a storm! Everyone has a story and this one, man!

Wild Ride
When a character, who is a therapist, needs to partake after meeting the main character of the book…and you want to get a drank or two yourself…I can’t even imagine what the author needed writing because Kenya was off the chain. I hate is that you never get the full background story, which for me, makes the tale a little unfinished. I almost decided to dislike Kenya and Elijah…but it was made clear that both had some serious issues before they met, and some things that made them icky may have been creative license in Kenya’s manuscript. All in all, this was a really deep, somewhat confusing, good book to read!
