The Haunted Mansion (Disney Classic) (Little Golden Book)

Reasonable price and a collection item

We were going on a second trip to Disneyland with my son who is almost 5. He likes rides and on this trip was tall enough to go on all of the rides. He loves skeletons and we were unsure if he would like going on the haunted mansion ride, but thought we would try. Then I found this book! It was great because we read it ahead of time and he knew what to expect. We also packed the book in his backpack for the car ride down and he read it on the way to Disneyland. While we were standing in line, we talked about the book and he remembered it all! Needless to say, he went on the ride, and totally loved it, and wanted to go again!

It’s so tightly “bound” that when you try and open it, it creates a white line / crease going up and down near the golden spine part of the book. Luckily I caught on and didn’t open it all the way so it’s not super noticeable on my copy. Just wanted anyone who cared about the exterior aesthetic of the book to know!

My son became obsessed with all thing spooky and Halloween related so of course when he came across this book, he had to have it. Great price and it’s a cute story for our collection. He loves the pictures!

I absolutely love Disneyland Golden Books; and, as mentioned in a previous review, buy them as collectibles. They're charming, the artwork is superb and they're more than suitable for children of all ages — even adult readers. For me, one of life's simple pleasures is to read a book that I can admire, enjoy and hold in my hands. eBooks are OK but they're no substitute for the real thing.So, it breaks my heart when I am looking forward to receiving a NEW book and it arrives dog-eared, because the seller didn't have the sense to use a book mailer. I received a NEW book rattling around inside an oversized box with no stability — again!Amazon, don't you ever learn?This book is GREAT. But when I buy something new, regardless of what it is or its price, it should arrive in mint condition. It's too bad that packing instructions for the common sense-challenged can't be sent along with the order.

Great gift idea for the Disney trip

This was on pre-order when I purchased it qand I honestly forgot about by the time it arrived which was a pleasant surprise. My kids love it, and it defintely brings back some fond memories.

Great little books. Follows the theme of the ride well. Love reading it to my little one to prepare him for his first Disney trip

My 4yo loves this book! It's really great. We love how it has quotes from the ride narration and song throughout the book. When we're not able to get to the Disney parks, and all the Disney stores sadly closed, this gives us a little kick of Disney when we want it! The book says up to age 5 but honestly I think older kids will enjoy it as well. Highly recommend this book and the others in the series.
