A heel pull and dual goring at the tongue provide an expert fit in this cozy, cushioned slipper. In 1804, T. & A. Evans (Thomas and Amos) were running a small shoe business connected with a general store in the town of South Reading. There was no shoe factory as we know it today, just a small shop where Thomas and Amos cut the leather for their shoes. The actual shoe making was farmed out among the people of the town, while Thomas and Amos supplied them with uppers, soles, counters and heels to be assembled into shoes. All shoes were sewed by hand whenever the shoemaker-farmers could spare the time. Today L.B. Evans is owned and operated as a division of Daniel Green Enterprises. Many of the traditional gentleman's slipper styles are still part of the line, but the business has grown to include new updated classics, premium products including elk and deer, and an array or rugged, warm outdoor styles. Daniel Green Enterprises remains committed to the quality and comfort guarantee that the Evans brothers established over 200 years ago.

Ill fitting and I had to return.
I purchased the recommended size for these slippers, based upon my shoe size of 10 1/2, which was size 11 in the slipper. I tried them on and walked around a bit and both slippers slipped up and down on my heel as I walked, so I knew I was going to return them. Also, there was at least 3/4 inch of room in front of my big toe, which was another sign of being too large. Here's my question: when are slipper manufacturers going to size slippers just like shoes, IN HALF SIZES? That would make much more sense to me and I feel that there would be fewer returns, resulting in happier customer, which is really what it's all about.

Just order 4th pair for my husband for Christmas. These are best slippers and he loves them!Very comfortable, but sturdy.Jackpot!
I thought it's about time I leave a review on these slippers. I just ordered a 4th pair for my husband. He works in a body shop for at least 12 hours a day standing on a concrete floor and his feet kill him. The first thing he does when he gets home after washing his hands is to put his slippers on. He's had many kinds over the years, but these are his absolute favorites. He wears a size 15 and we buy the 15 E and they are very comfortable and stay securely on his feet when he walks. They have such a good sole that they're almost like a shoe-not all floppy, and he can wear them out in the hall to a laundry room or whatever. They're a little pricey, but worth it. I've bought the chocolate color for him, but this time I ordered the lighter "hash-something", the camel-colored ones, just for a change. He's a big guys, so he tends to wear them down, meaning that in time they kind of flatten out and also get wider and looser-not as secure on his foot. That isn't a complaint-he still loves them, but just in wearing them over a long period of time every morning and night, it just happens. My 14 year old son has some worn out "cutesy" slippers of animals and things that are really getting too small to wear anymore, so I think I may order him the same ones for Christmas that I just order his Dad. He's ready for "big guy's" type slippers that are comfy and will also stay on his feet, plus be just like Dad's! I think he'll like them a lot. In conclusion, these slippers are my husband's # 1 pick, and when he finds something he likes, he just wants to stick with them and not experiment any further. Part of that is that because he wears a size 15, it's not always easy with footwear to find something he's happy with and actually is in stock. My son is just reaching size 8 now, so hopefully these will fit in that size well. Worth the money, and can't say enough positive things about these slippers. You hit the jackpot and won't be disappointed with these!!!

SECOND PAIR - DIFFERENT COLOR
They are my husband's favorite slipper, ever. He is diabetic, and needs a sturdier sole than some slippers have - one that will not slip - and the slippers are easy to put on. He wears them without socks unless he is having swollen ankles, then he uses compression socks. The nice thing about them is this: Even with the swollen ankles, they can be easily pulled on; but also, they do not just flop off as he walks. They stay on more like a shoe. The toe box, for him, is large enough to not rub on his toes and irritate them. For me, they look nicer on him than most slippers....vanity, oh vanity!

Good Fit and Comfort.
Never been a big fan of house slippers, they have little support and tend to be poorly made. Took a chance on these and have been very pleased so far. Fits more like a shoe (12M is my size and these were perfect), without the arch support of course. The gores at the sides make it easier fo this old guy to get them on and off and they don't feel like they are going to fall off. Just the right amount of insulation, which seems higher quality fake fleece, not too bulky, yet warm. Nice upper construction, wide toe box, good material and a decent rubber sole for quick steps out to the porch or driveway. Good price point, too. Very satisfied.

I've paid way more and gotten way less. Try em.
Very nice slippers. I inserted good quality gel pad size 14 full length support insoles and they fit perfect, even though my feet tend to swell a bit now and then. No problem at all with interior room with the inserts in. I wear a 14 Wide, and these had WONDERFUL toe space, a nice fuzzy and WARM interior and were in fact wide. They came with comfy padding "withou"t my inserts added, but if you have any foot issues, you WANT decent support even in your slippers. Just makes this nice slipper feel even more stable with a supported arch and padded heel. The tread is not really the best if you want to slip out back to the grill with a dusting of snow, so use these inside or outside when traction is not critical. Your feet will be warm (especially with cotton socks which ya want to do), and those of you keeping rooms cool to keep costs down will love these.. Great value at the price. I've paid way more and gotten way less. Try em.

Still a great slipper, but a bit more narrow than last year's Christmas present
I still think that these slippers are the best bang for the buck. They are taller than the average, so they stay on your feet. I have had a pair for over a year, very durable, no stitching ripped out. Wear em almost every day. I have had much more expensive slippers rip out in short order. I like a new pair of slippers each year for Christmas. Not sure why, but although this is the same brand and model that I got last Christmas, the new pair is 1/4 inch narrower in the ball of the foot area, and 1/8 inch narrower in the heal area. Both are 10M. Toe area is fine (I normally wear a size 10 everything). When all is said and done, the slightly narrower slipper this year fits better than the wider slipper from last year. Would definitely ask for these again...As for the pics, the one marked 10 is the old slipper. And, the one with the red and blue tag is the old slipper. Still in good shape.

They are slippers!
This is just what I wanted to loaf around with in the house and go outside for short periods. They keep my tootsies warm and the sole gives me good protection from any rain or light snow on the ground. My girlfriend now can not keep her hands off me because of these slippers. They also prevent anything bad from ever happening while wearing them. I even saw a unicorn. All in all exactly what I wanted from slippers

Strange I don't see them as great as what I read about?
After reading reviews, an old slipper company from the United States, I was planning on being wowed???? They're just ok.I can't imagine anyone saying they have a good thickness on the sole, it's almost non-existent. It felt like I was basically walking on the floor. I put in some spare good insoles and it's better.I've had slippers from LL Bean, Ugg, and some others in the past and I must say it's worth spending an extra 50 bucks for the best.I do like the rubber sole so I can go outside to the garage in the winter.Would I buy these again, never.

Seulement 3 mois d’usure...
